Good for overnight stay

Reception staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are big with en-suite baths and showers. Loved the way they fold the towels to imitate a bird. The food is tasty and plentiful. Wifi is restricted to reception area only.

Comfortable, clean rooms. If you do want to watch the TV, you must request a remote at the reception. Free Wifi only available in the reception area and very slow. Had dinner and breakfast, food was acceptable, but they seem to be understaffed. Quicker to go and fetch your own drinks at the bar than to wait for a waitress.

Getting worse

Having had some trouble whilst driving from Cape Town to Windhoek, we needed somewhere to crash in a hurry.

Funny enough we were placed in the same room as last time. Things just seem to have gotten worse. The one bed base was cracked in the middle, ceiling still has the same dry damp marks, linen is worn, only 2 plugs to plug in chargers and a third close to the ceiling.
I could carry on and on. They did however put lemon scented plastic flowers to cheer the place up.

All they need to do is start with one bedroom a month to get this place going in the right direction.

Ok for a stop over

Friendly staff. Out dated rooms but they did have new aircons which was welcomed. Lovely pool and the restaurant food was ok. Hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. You can lock your car in a lock up for an extra $50. Like I said ok for a stop over.

The staff members of the Canyon Hotel are very warm, lovely, friendly, accommodating, helpful and highly professional, who ensure that the needs of their guests are met. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to ALL the staff members of this hotel with its comfortable and clean rooms. The food is tasty and it’s good value for money. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
