AMAZING STAY!!

Absolutely loved it!! Spent the whole 3 days at the awesome pool deck. The staff was amazing, especially Kenny, this guy is prepared for anything. Wendy, Dee, Michelle and the housekeeping staff where all super helpful. I had a beautiful view, luxurious condo, campfire pit, water slides, gas or charcoal grills, a playground, horseshoe pit, shuffleboard and free veggies from the garden kept up by maintenance for the guests! I highly recommend this place to anyone!

We reached the lodges late in the evening. After having told them before we came - multiple times that my father is wheelchair bound and we needed a wheelchair friendly cabin- and them agreeing on the phone, when we arrived they sent us to a cabin with about 40 steps to the front door. We had to go back and tell the front desk lady again and she angrily then sent us to a cabin where it was ground level (could she not have done that in the first place??? The cabins themselves are pretty but the staff is lacking in hospitality and kindness.

We visited The Rocks restaurant in Mornington and found the meal to be great.
There was a good selection on the menu including seafood. There is also Japanese cuisine available also. I had whole grilled flounder and it was one of the best.
Prices for wine was a little pricey but overall a great night out.

Shout out to Wendy and Dee! We arrived super late and they were very helpful!!
Great view from our balcony! Room was very spacious and cozy. Easy to get to and being away from the strip was nice. Would absolutely go back.

Spacious Luxury Cabins....

We stayed at one of the resort cabins (realize there are private cabins as well that rent out). It was huge, beautiful and clean. 4 Bedrooms - 2 downstairs separated by a living room, dining room and kitchen. Two upstairs separated across the cabin by a catwalk type hallway (think balcony). This allows the living room to have cathedral ceilings and gorgeous windows. Each bedroom has king size beds with flatscreen tvs and armoires. Upstairs same but dressers and tvs. Bedroom upstairs are larger. All bedrooms have master bathrooms with jetted tubs (garden size/style - the larger one) and stall showers - bathrooms are larger downstairs. Front porch with aderondak (sp?) chairs and screened back porch with picnic table. So much room! The furniture was a little dated, the living room a little worn -but clean. The pics tend to show the updated 3 lakeview cabins - the rest not the same exactly. Plenty of towels and linens already there. Thermostat was easy to adjust to needs and all rooms had ceiling fans - not for keeping cool the central does that - but for air circulation. Enough hot water for everyone and laundry.

The only reason for not 5 star is the need to develop some resort activities - nothing for the kids to go to so you could enjoy the hot tub or the gym without the kids being "bored" waiting for you and no dining.

Short easy drives to everything (grocery, sites) , so close to Silver Dollar City and no traffic this way.
