JW0408on 10/07/2017 15:35This hotel is outdated and in need of refurbishment and tlc. I stayed here with a school party I was leading and several of the rooms had things broken in them etc. The decor is out of date and there is no aircon which was not pleasant in the 35 degree heat when we went! The staff are friendly but lacking dynamism and don't seem particularly interested. On the upside it has a very central location just a couple of minutes walk fro the old town square [which is lovely]. Wifi was only in the communal areas.

V5CBon 03/05/2017 19:33It's a very nice hotel, right in the city center, 10 minutes walk from the Black Church. The inside looks as though it had been recently renovated, clean bathrooms, new fixtures, clean rooms, decent breakfast, friendly staff.

Remus Von 01/04/2017 07:13I was in front of the hotel at a car rally show with my 8 y/o son who had to go the restrooms. I told him to go to the reception and ask there. The lady told him the bathroom is broken... Really?? They do this to children??

The furnitures are here from the beginning, the staff is polite but not efficient. It's winter and I have to open the windows to keep a " normal" temperature. Unfortunately, I cannot close the heater.
To finish by better words, the location is excellent.
It was very good - but for socialism
Nikolay Kon 20/12/2016 10:59Recommend to visit if you want to feel the Soviet era: its rooms, restaurant, and many other facilities are quite typical for a good (international) hotel of Socialism era. Good to understand what happens if private business is almost fully oppressed and government worries mostly about weapons, not economy. Only cash were accepted in restaurant :( Main plus: just round the corner of the old city and good transport accessibility.
