Beautiful Hotel in Travelers' Paradise

Walked up to the front entrance and was enthralled with the beauty of the hotel perched on the mountain. Views from the hotel were magnificent. The room was stunning with sheer fabrics giving the room a light and luxurious feel. The service from wait staff and room staff was friendly and exceptionally good.
Amazing hotel!

Capri Palace is a lovely hotel, staff are very welcoming and helpful. I stayed with my husband in October 2017 for 5 days. The hotel surprised us with champagne and cake to help celebrate our anniversary. Hotel is central to Anacapri, close to the little square where buses and taxis can be used to reach other parts of the island. Close to the hotel is the chairlift to Mount Solaro, which is a must-see for the incredible views. Breakfast at the hotel was very nice with lots of choice of hot and cold options, including local cheeses and freshly cut Parma ham which was delicious. We loved the Capri Hotel and would highly recommend it.
on the top !

We followed our friend recommendation and stayed 2 nights at Capri Palace Hotel. We didn't like it, I thought compare to Capri Tiberio Palace where we stayed first half of our trip to Capri, it was bleak and outdated. The room we got was newly refurbished and stylish but on a small side, the terrace was tiny, the view over the roofs of Anacapri unexciting and right next to a funicular so it was noisy. When we asked to change the room the hotel was very accommodating ( unfortunately there was not much choice as most of the hotel was booked) and showed us available rooms all of which were higher categories - we didn't like any - even the rooms were bigger but they were not renovated, the view was still not worth it and some with private garden space were too dark and sad. So we chose to stay in our simpler but fresh room thought with the noise from the funicular (thankfully it didn't work between 6pm and 8am). Another thing curtains were transparent - no use against morning sun. I'm used to dark blinds in luxury hotels, so it was another disappointing point - quality of sleep was poor.
On a good note, service at the hotel was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing, delicious and lavish. But again no nice view from the breakfast area, actually no view at all.
truly exquisite - it doesn't get better than this

Our first trip to Capri and the Capri palace hotel ( and now not the last ...already booking my 2019 trip !).
Okay so was unsure how to get there initially - we were travelling from Australia with luggage. Flew into Rome , had a couple of nights there and then onto Sorrento where we stayed a night prior to taking the ferry to Capri.
okay for those who haven't done it before ( like us ) not hard but there are a few different ferry companies. it was early sept and still warm. arrived at Capri and the port was very crowded but so relieved to see Capri Palace staff at the port waiting for our ferry to escort us to our SUV for transfer to the hotel.
The hotel is exquisite - think Capri style- chic and sophisticated yet informal and relaxed.
we were fortunately upgraded to a capri style sea view room - ( if you are going to stay here definitely get a sea view room ). The sunsets are unforgettable and reason enough to come here.
dinner at the hotel restaurant L'Olivo was nothing short of spectacular- sophisticated fine dining.
The breakfast equally impressive- in fact probably one of the best hotel breakfasts ever.
Nunzia, the hotel manager and her team were incredibly helpful and responsive.
Anacapri is just charming...once the last tourist buses go back to port at around 5pm the town becomes a sleepy little village and great for walking and exploring the high end and quaint shops and cafes. must go to Villa San Michelle- see my separate review
this is a truly luxury hotel with all that is expected- I would def go again in early sept the weather was just divine. yes yes its expensive but this is one of those special places maybe reserved for special occasion or trip or celebration.
In future we will fly into Naples and get a car to Ferry - ferries leave Naples also for Capri.
