What People are saying

Terrific value and very good service

Steven Aon 12/08/2017 05:33

The motel was recently remodeled, had an adequate Continental breakfast and was quite affordable. Maid service from Lorraine was exceptional. Well worth the visit for its central location, nice rooms and attention to detail.

Will be back!

I stay here every time I'm on the cape. Can't beat the price, location, cleanliness and staff! Pool is fine, motel is right on the main road which is great. I've stayed all the way to the right and all the way to the left and liked them both.

Captains Quarters

The main reason we chose Captains Quarters was because they allowed pets. The reviews were pretty good so we took a chance. Guests with dogs are assigned to certain pet friendly rooms. I am assuming these rooms are not the typical room in the entire motel. They are very old and outdated. The beds are not comfortable and probably have been there since the motel first opened. The carpet was old, worn, thin and not very clean looking. The furniture was very old and mismatched. The best part about the room was the sink. That was obviously replaced and was up to date. The towels are thin, small and worn. The curtains are very old and drab. We turned on the heat for a minute because it was cold and damp and the smell of burning dust was so bad we had to shut it and I had to spray body spray to get them smell out.
On a positive note the manager is very nice and cordial. It is a convenient location and it is quiet and peaceful.
The continental breakfast is dry cereal and bread and lots of green bananas. We chose to eat elsewhere. The grounds are kept mowed but there is no landscaping and the outside of the buildings are in need of repair and a paint job. The old rail trail bike path is right behind the motel which is a plus.
I am assuming the non pet friendly rooms are better but that is just a guess.
There are signs all along the property asking you to clean up after your dog but there is ONE garbage pail on the entire property located near the office no near the pet friendly rooms which are all in one row in the back of the property. There is one old ice machine so you better get there quickly because it runs out. Every negative review gets an auto generated response from the management.

Mini Vacation With Family

We just LOVE this place! We've been three other times and we always come back because Captain's Quarters is welcoming, quaint, quiet, clean, affordable, and everyone that works there is friendly.

We stayed July 14-16 in rooms 23 and 24 in the main building. Rooms are large, very clean (even in bathroom corners, tub grout, and all the places I pay attention to). Our rooms each had two extremely comfortable queen size beds, that are true queens and not doubles advertised as queens. The sheets were spotless and soft, and the pillows were abundant and plump.

The rooms are appointed with flat screen TV sets, and an ample channel selection. There is a nice sized refrigerator and microwave in each room and an ironing board and a flat iron that actually works!

The air conditioning units were newer models and are quiet and temperature controlled.

There is a complementary continental breakfast served daily and there were many people taking advantage of it. We like to eat a big breakfast so although I didn't see the whole selection I did see at least a dozen visitors sitting down to enjoy coffee, tea, pastries and cereal.

All rooms are non-smoking and I can attest to the fact that our two rooms had no weird smells or harsh cleaning chemical smells.

There is a modest but nicely maintained outdoor pool that we've used in the past but it was chilly both days we could have taken a dip in it.

The lady that checked us in, and the gentleman that checked us out were very nice, and are obviously interested in overall satisfaction of their guests.

The hotel is very affordable too! This is peak season on Cape Cod, and two rooms for two nights was under $650 total with all taxes included. We got a special rate as return guests and this is a nice incentive for customer loyalty. Because the rooms are so affordable we were able to treat our daughter and our son-in-law for our first family trip since they've been married.

The motel is on busy route 6 but you wouldn't know it because it sets back off the road on lovely wooded grounds. There are several buildings and picnic tables abound.

Close to everything including beaches, great dining, and really in the heart of Cape Cod.

We adore this pretty spot and we will return soon!
