Hotel is nice and in a good location but the service is not one of the best. The reception person must take care also of the bar and the restorant at the same time during the eve. Surprised they have no english menue and when asked the waitress to explain she started to lough and told me I dont know! Will look for a better hotel in the future.

Comfortable but not flashy

The hotel is located about a 15 walk from the main station and is situated in a quiet neighbourhood. The check-in was very fast and efficient, The rooms are comfortable but don't seem 4 star standard, fairly small and basic but clean. Breakfast was good, and was basically a standard German hotel breakfast. Certain items on the buffet were not replaced particularly fast and caused a mad scramble when they were. The hotel is well presented and modern. For under 100 euros I was quite happy and would consider staying here again, even with the slightly longer walk from the centre of town.

A small-to-mid sized, business/family style hotel 15 min. walking distance from the old town of Erfurt, the city of flowers, the capital of Thüringia.
The hotel is newly built, and boasts a glass walled elevator, neat rooms and a comfy atmosphere. Part of the rooms overlook the city, part of them the quiet green neighbourhood.
A word on the services:
The breakfast buffet is tasty, rich and offers healthy products + a sample of traditional style meats.
Free WiFi is only available in the lobby :(
The lobby is racther small and access to the elevator is very narrow.
Had no time to check out the wellness part.
The parking lot is undersized, but neighbouring streets offer free parking.
Lots of families on the weekend, so this hotel is for you only if you endure the acoustic impact of litte children.
Despite the critical observations, I recommend this hotel as being comfortable, aptly located and good value for business or holiday travellers.

Nice Hotel and nice staff

I was in Carat Hotel from 6-11 of October. The hotel is in very quite area and is near to the bus station and the city trams stop is 10 minutes walking. Nice Breakfast and very helful staff.
The lobby area it's little small and there is free internet. Michele was very nice with us and very polite. Room was every day clean but i sudgest to add more english tv channel becauce all was in German language. Mrs. Weisheit- General Manager was always there to solve any problem we had. Sure my team amd me i will go there in the next Olympiade Der Koche 2016.

Nice hotel however a little bit out of the centre of town

Stayed on business for one night. I arrived late so can’t comment on the restaurant or bar but it looked busy when I checked in. The room was nicely decorated with all the amenities you expect from a 3* hotel including a mini bar. Car parking was fee at the rear of the hotel, WiFi was also free. The hotel is in a quieter area of Erfurt surrounded by residential properties and is about 10 to 15 minutes drive from the centre of the town
