Budget trip to Rome
thirdagetrekkerson 27/04/2017 19:08A good choice for a cheap place to stay which is clean, with comfortable beds and convenient for transport, but not for those wanting a bit more luxury. It's basically 5 rooms in a 4th floor apartment in a rather run-down area, the owner is very nice , helpful and friendly but doesn't live on the premises. We arrived a bit earlier than expected due to a quick flight and weren't sure we had the right place as it just looked like the (locked) door to apartments on a rather scruffy street. We eventually asked a person who was going in, who had no idea about whether we had the right place but offered to ring the owner - the number was on our booking confirmation - and let us into the building. We then had to ring the owner to find out where to go, and it's up 10 flights of stairs, with a tiny and ancient lift, only big enough for 2 people, from the 1st floor. The precise details for accessing the building should really be made clear - we had a few very anxious minutes standing outside thinking that our booked accommodation didn't exist, after a long day travelling.The rooms are very basic, but clean and we found the bed comfortable. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast are included; breakfast is served at a kind of breakfast bar in the lobby and is just pastries and toast. Our room opened directly onto the lobby, fortunately it was quiet and we weren't disturbed. The Metro station is just outside and it's within walking distance of Termini station and the Colosseum so we found it very convenient. However at night the area can get full of youths and we found it a bit off-putting if we came back late. Be aware that you have to pay the owner a city tax of 10% of the fee - we didn't know this until the day before we left so it depleted our spending money somewhat. There's a lovely trattoria, La Vecchia Concha, just over the road, excellent food, closed on Wednesdays.
Convenient Locarion
ComeflywithmeFloridaon 24/02/2017 17:08Literally at the exit to the metro. 4th floor with elevator. Clean, comfortable with good WIFI. Nice bathroom but if you are king size you may have an issue. Only downside is an average breakfast....cappuccino is just coffee with milk.

Beautiful room
SC875on 29/06/2016 10:32Great room and was nice and clean with high ceilings. Owner operated so not 24/7 but they did give keys so we could come and go. Breakfast was included. Only downfall no air conditioning or fan and the room was quite warm. We would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful place to stay. Would definitely choose this place on a return visit.
Janfromnzon 21/06/2016 06:12This is a BnB, so it doesn't have 24 hr conciege, but the host made contact with us about arrival times and everything went smoothly. The room was a delight: spacious, clean, a good sized bathroom with an excellent shower, and the window opened to the street, but once the windows were shut there was no street noise. There is a metro stop right outside the hotel and it's only one stop to Termini station. There are great places to eat and drink in the vicinity and the area had a nice atmosphere. We had to leave before breakfast was served, so can't comment on that. For location, price and amenities, this would be the pick of the bunch.
