Nice renovated hotel. Modern reception and dining room. Nice room with walking in shower. Super buffet! Spanish food, lot of choice. Vary every day. Delicious food.
Friendly staff.
Only - is: rooms are not soundproof.
10 min. Walk from Poniente beach. 15 min. Walk to Old center.

Just spent a week at this hotel with a friend
Hotel was basic , clean looking .
Food ... not a bad choice ( we were halfboad )
Food was cold , breakfast and dinner , it was so stressful trying to get to the food , I found the Spanish very rude , they don't queue and wait their turn they just push in to get what they want . It was mainly Spanish staying here , nothing wrong with that , just bear it in mind any English who want to book to stay here . Entertainment all in Spanish even the bingo ! So we couldn't have played even if we wanted to !
The maid did not clean our room once ! Just made out beds and left clean towels , the floor was filthy with dust and the balcony was .
If you are on the 'larger build' I suggest you bring your own towels as the towels will not go round you ! We didn't use the pool because their was no mention of towels to use .
The wifi ... what wifi ! We were given the code / password to connect to it , but we could not do anything once connected, couldn't even read emails so had to use my own data ! .
The staff were very friendly .
Was not allowed to take a cup of coffee from the restaurant to drink outside to haves cigarette... oh and there is only a wardrobe to put your clothes in no drawers ... was a bit disappointed with the hotel after reading some of the good reviews ... would not stay here again .

Not a party goer I was concerned Benidorm was a lads drunken rave and I read the reviews carefully to make sure I'd get a good night's sleep and I sure did but incredibly even on a Friday night I was watching the stars on the roof outside at 8pm and it was completely quiet. This basic gem was always empty and me and my Fiancé loved it. Most guests were mature sensible Spanish folks and the staff were polite. Place is squeaky clean. there Beach is 5mins walk away so people complaing about the pool size probably need to get out more. Food is catered for Spanish tastes and was excellent. I was half board and Drinks are free with breakfast but didn't appear to be even water to go with dinner. Im going to guess that's probably standard in Spain so not a criticism and with local supermarket around corner everything else we needed was available. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

I recently spent 5 days here with my partner, initially I was worried as I had read reviews stating it was under renovation! I was pleasantly surprised it was almost completed. We booked a double room but were given a twin, however the room was modern, spotlessly clean and the beds were huge! The maids cleaned everyday and we had fresh towels too which was lovely!! The only draw back with our room was it was a connected room to another and at times it felt like our neighbours were sharing the room with us!! It was quite noisy in general too with work still going on. We were staying half board and this included breakfast and evening meal, unfortunately we missed breakfast as we like to sleep in but we were quite impressed with the food each evening, the dining room was modern and clean( apart from the flies, which is typical in Spain due to the drains) the staff were friendly and worked extremely hard, plenty of choice on offer mainly Spanish food which was hot and fresh constantly. We were disappointed with the pool area as it was tiny and there was a lack of facilities to sunbathe, few sun beds but mainly chairs!
This is a Spanish hotel and caters more for Spanish but we were treated kindly and the staff tried hard to make themselves understood
Overall a pleasant holiday and the renovations have made this hotel modern and fresh

arrived by taxi at 10.30pm Jorge was on reception so immediately from other peoples write ups I knew my check in was going to be easy swift and il be out in half an hour, as expected the check in was full of cheeky laughs and Jorge directed us and booked us a taxi away we went a great first night.
the hotel was clean I stayed in 708 so the maid cleaning from 6-11th September well done because my room was spotless every day, the hotels very Spanish but come on guys your in Spain I cant fault the food free wine with your evening meals and the selection is great the staff at this hotel are busy it takes a moment to be polite and that's exactly how they were.
the pool gets sun from 11.00 until 6 don't be fooled by the built up area.
the hotel is 5 minutes walk to the beach its a left out of reception over the lights left again and right at the crossing your old town Benidorm and its a hive of activity.
a great short break and it all started with the happy face of Jorge, thankyou Hotel Carlos
