This used to be a lovely place to stay when on a long road trip. But sadly, it is not well maintained and shows it age. We stayed for one night, and glad it was only one! Hard to get hot water, and NO HEAT. We tried to get the heater to work, it only blew cold air. Left it running half an hour, the temp got colder, not warmer. We reported that upon check out, did they do anything for us? Nope. Well, they said "thanks for letting us know". We have stayed here over the years, but never again.

The location of this hotel is so nice because you are right across from the street from a really nice outlet mall. Close to legoland. I highly recommend going to Karl Strauss right next door practically, the food is amazing and the beer is excellent, we went twice on our weekend stay. The rooms are clean and nice with a balcony overlooking a grassy courtyard area where our kids could play. Also, the breakfast is pretty good too

Close to all restaurants and Legoland. Could not have asked for a better location or staff. Shuttle was a great help and saved parking expenses. Breakfast was perfect for our family. The room was spotless. The CU Amenities by the Soft Touch Group were a welcome surprise, We finally found lotions etc. my grandson was not allergic to.

Recently spent a couple of nights at the Carlsbad by the Sea on a family trip which included Legoland. The location of this hotel is amazing, just over the road from the Premium Outlets Stores and restaurants etc and round the corner from Legoland. It wouldn't be the easiest walk to Legoland but as the hotel provide a free shuttle service this is no problem at all.
The hotel itself is clean but a bit tired, everything you need is there and provided but just a bit tired in it's presentation. The pool area is amazing and again has everything you could ask for. Breakfast again was filling and covered off the bases, but just lacked a bit of love in the presentation.
One thing definitely not lacking love was the service, the staff are so super friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Tiffany who gave us such a lovely warm welcome on our arrival was also more than happy to collect me from Legoland so I could get our swim gear and then drive me straight back 5 minutes later. That lady is a star!!
If you're looking for somewhere clean and comfortable with a great location and service then this is the place for you, if you want high class then maybe not so much. Just a bit more love for the resort and this could really be an excellent hotel.

My daughter planned out my grandsons birthday weekend. She booked this hotel for two reasons. 1. they offered full "American" breakfast and 2. The free shuttle to Legoland.
Well when we arrived and checked in I noticed the exterior was a little on the older side and needed some TLC. We entered our room...Big disappointment! The room was small and the decor was on the outdated side. There was NOTHING about this hotel that would entice me to come back. Other than the free shuttle to Legoland and we didnt have to pay for parking.
We thought breakfast the next morning would make up for the room. NOOOOOO. Nothing stood out. No pancakes and no waffles. We will not be returning to this hotel again.
