Good Among Limited Options In The Area
mantic59on 23/05/2017 21:03My wife and I stayed there two nights over the weekend, on business in the area. I think this facility is a bit dated and needs some refresh but adequate over-all. Everything in the room worked. Water pressure in the bathroom was poor but water temperature was very good. Rooms need better soundproofing. Open wi-fi was a pleasant surprise! Property appears to be undergoing some renovations, as there were construction materials outside and vending/ice machines were relocated from a stairwell to a hallway (at least on the 1st floor where we were). Complementary breakfast adequate but nothing special (there a few dining alternatives nearby but be aware of the road construction in the immediate area). Very small indoor/outdoor pool. It appears they were a bit under-staffed while we were there but the employees were friendly and helpful. There are few lodging options in Adrian so do not expect "5 star" accommodations in the area.

William Fon 21/05/2017 15:44We were members of the original Carlton Lodge guests membership, when this place was first open and privately owned. Of course over the years, it has changed hands and management which you do expect, not much has changed, they have done some renovation over the years. The rooms are basically the same, and so is the pool area, as for the price, you can do better for what you get here. I will say that the breakfast is outstanding, and most of the staff specifically the cleaning staff are great. They will bend over backwards for you, this place is clean, however I will question the safety at night. Outside doors are usually jarred open, and lets be honest, this is a different world, also please remember that our fantastic and great Michigan International Speedway is just a few miles away. The Carlton Lodge is one of there favorite handouts, so the noise, the people and the price will increase during any race. Other then that, I would recommend, but watch the price...
Best Local Hotel
COVERT Lon 13/05/2017 20:49Very nice accommodations. Lovely entrance with view of pool. Indoor Pool has access to Outdoor Pool but closed at the time of our stay. Breakfast was excellent and great open area so didn't feel cramped. Coffee was excellent!!! Room was everything we expected. Comfy beds and 4 soft full size towels. Some places only give 2 towels for a double room. Will definitely stay here again.
We've been missing out
SmiLarGon 30/04/2017 20:54We stay in Adrian a few times per year to visit family. While other options are adequate, Carlson is a much more enjoyable place to stay. Rooms are nice, clean and fresh. This is definitely our first choice for future stays.
Very nice, new carpet
DeepSorrowon 24/04/2017 19:35Stayed here one night as a mini family get away. The lobby was cute with a lodge feel to it. Our room was very nice, with brand new carpet. The pool was fun, if a little chilly. Breakfast was great, with very convenient hours. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a five star is that our request for a crib was not honored. Overall, great time, nice place, would definitely stay here again.
