Nothing short of incredible, room was a standout with large jacuzzi to the back of the property.
Beautiful pool and first class restaurant.
Attentive staff, ultimate luxury with beautiful beach and tranquil surroundings.

Very nice resort, good nature and surroundings and very relaxing.
Nice breakfast and SPA.
Service could be better though for a Hyatt, and the wifi doesn't work well in rooms.
Overall very good experience!

I tried to stay a couple of months ago, and I was not able to check in. There was only one lady at the reception that was giving info to a costumer, and I waited for 50 minutes and left to another hotel.
This second time everything went smooth because I had complaint by mail. But when we went to dinner with my wife the waitress offered mashed potatoes, and I asked if they could prepare it without dairy, because I am lactose intolerant. She said they would prepare it without dairy. They brought the meal , I started to eat, and the mashed potatoes were soft so that I asked if they really did not have milk, and she came back and took the plate away because it had milk. When I complaint, she started to cry..... unacceptable.
They are so irresponsible to give a person with a food alergy or intolerance a meal that contains that product. There were only 4 persons in the restaurant at that time.
We ordered Aperol spritz, and when we ordered a second one, the lady told us we should choose something else because they had no more Aperol.
The rooms are nice , but the service is poor in every aspect.

Our family came here on a whim when our flight from BA to Bariloche was cancelled and could not be rebooked. We are so happy fate intervened and we came here. Who knew that paradise on earth could be found in Carmelo, Uruguay? The grounds are lovely, set amongst beautiful pine and birch. A small vineyard is set behind the beautiful pool. I'll never forget the stars at night, viewing the southern cross by warm fires outside, horseback riding by the river, bike riding through the forest. This place is so serene. The staff here is incredibly kind, humoring me as I tried my terrible Spanish. Our boys loved the kids club. If you like wine, there are a number of incredible wineries close by, all very small. You just walk in and the head vintner will start letting you sample wines, often out of the tank. In short it was my favorite wine experience ever ... I envision it as Sonoma was probably like 50 years ago. We've been many places, and this property is very, very high on my list of places I want to return.

I stayed at the Carmelo resort for a quick getaway from Buenos Aires and as soon as I turned into the driveway to the property, I fell in love. I HATE being out in nature, but this place is magical! Not sure what it is about this place/location, but I was actually happy about being surrounded by nature. The property is tastefully decorated and I stayed in the Bi-level suite which was divine. I will definitely be coming back here and staying for longer than just one stinkin night. I was mad when I had to check out the next day, but the late checkout made it slightly more tolerable to leave.
