I just came back after a one week stay at Carnoustie and it exceeded all expectations I had. It is a quiet haven that refreshed me and made me want to go back for more. I enjoyed the morning and evening yoga classes on the rooftop and the rain just added to the ambience. Loved the scenic walk to the beach to watch the sunset every evening. The landscape has been designed with such care that there is color in every corner with little reading nooks that just invited me to sit down and relax and enjoy the beauty. I could go on an on about the physical characteristics of this beautiful place but have to write about the wonderful staff that seemed to know what I needed before I asked for it. They were always polite and smiling and always happy to help. And last but not least my daily session of Podikizhi.( I made sure I spelt that right :)). This is a hot oil massage followed by a gentle and rhythmic pounding of warm pouches filled with herbs. Reshma and Anju were the 2 ladies who massaged all my stress away daily and left me feeling rejuvenated. I felt the skin on my arms and stomach had tightened after just 3 sessions which was a very pleasant surprise as I did not know that was one of the effects :). My Mom who had accompanied me has still not stopped raving about her trip there as she was treated with utmost care because of her frail health and every care was taken to give her an amazing vacation!! If I could I would give it 7 stars!!!

Relaxing Getaway

Had the pleasure of staying at this property for a couple of nights. We were a family of 9 members looking for a weekend getaway. The swimming pool is very impressive. Had an issue with foul smelling water in our villa. But we were upgraded immediately. Extremely pleased with the friendly ambience created by the staff.

Quite and relaxing resort with cycling facilities and direct beach access. More suited to guests staying for ayurvedic treatment. Free wifi available, but dodgy connections in the far-off villas, which were sorted out on request.The restaurant is average, but buffets for lunch & dinner available only when the occupancy in high. The only other eateries in the immediate vicinity are two other resorts which are about five minutes drive, but subject to prior booking.

Recreational facilities for kids would add to the charm.

Utter peace and quiet

We had an amazing, tranquil week here. There is complementary yoga twice a day, a gorgeous swimming pool (for proper lengths, as long as sun loungers) in addition to the small private pool we had. The staff could not have been more helpful - they organised day trips for us when we wanted to explore, and would always faultlessly polite. The treatments were fantastic - I managed three massages in one week, which were probably the best messages I have ever had. There is access to the beach, but actually we enjoyed the poolside so didn't use the beach much. Thoroughly recommend, and can't wait to return.

A great place to regenerate his body and mind

I just come back from 2 weeks treatments in Carnoustie.

Here are my feedbacks for you :

Positives :
- I was not a Yoga expert but I really enjoyed the 2 daily sessions - morning and evening- Especially the morning one with Vimal. Great teacher. I know now 3 suns saluations and sevral other postures :-)
- The teatments were all great. I had in average 4 treatments by day...it was even sometime hard to find time for rest. The therapists were all great.
- The resort has a lot of charme. The swimming pool is fantastic and the hotel fully integrated in a natural green environment.
- The restaurant crew was so great. They always listened to my wish and made the maximum to combine the diet with my taste.
- The trip organized by the hotel on the backwater was genial. The hotel boat is gorgeous and the trip amazing. Don't go back without having spend these 4 hours on the backwater.

Space for improvement:
- Some areas would deserve more in depth cleaning.
- The trip to Cochin organized by the hotel was not at the expected level. Not guided.

Those concerns were shared directly with the resort manager. He ensured me he has already an actions plan to fix them. So I am sure during your visit those will be improved.

Overall : Carnoustie is a fantastic hotel if you want to rest and re energize your body and MIND.

You can go there the eyes closed you won't be disappointed.

Excellent service and would recommend to go the place. Excellent property worth all the money. We Were on vacations so we choose the best options we had in the area and these property stood by all standards. We enjoyed our stay and the staff made it memorable.
