Friendly service, lovely rooms

We only had the opportunity to stay one night but we were impressed. Carolina is a very friendly and helpful host. We had Rooms 2 and 4 an both were terrific. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Parking on site was important to us and it was available and it worked well. Breakfast was ample and delicious. It set us up for the day.

Stayed for a night last weekend. Carolina was very hospitable and accommodating. She was very understanding when we told her we'd be out for a late one and didn't know what time we'd be back in. She was up and ready to cook us breakfast in the morning but we didn't quite make it, and she was understanding. Charming and cosy place that was very clean and kept up. I almost didn't even want to go out for our night out once I saw the room because jt was so inviting to stay in. Will definitely use again as we have many friends in Cambridge we like to visit.

Lovely little Guest House

A scrupulously clean and stylish Guest House. Such a comfortable bed ... and a good night's sleep. The breakfast was amazing too. Stayed 2 nights over busy weekend in June & the service was great. Will be back soon.
The host was simply lovely. Would highly recommend

Hot Cold Shower

Just returned from a night at the Carolina with my boyfriend.
Owner greeted us... Saying she wasnt expecting two... She was expecting one person, though confirmation clearly stated two. So she rushed around grabbing more towels, cups and glasses. So not a great start...
Basic room with a nice big bed. Dingy robe hanging up, nice iron burn on the carpet...
Shower was awful, wouldnt heat up so informed the owner who said someone would be back soon and he will look at the pressure on the boiler.. However the heating was on... Mid June?!
After waiting around for about an hour we both had a scolding hot to artic cold shower as we had not heard back and had a reservation to get to. Owner knocked to say shower should be fine now.. Bit late!
Hair dryer... Take your own... The one in the room is ancient, cold air and no power.

Shower still not fixed by morning and we both again had freezing showers. Advised owner and again it was due to boiler pressure... No apologies given... Payment hadnt gone through so had to resolve, no gesture of a reduction due to the inconvenience.
Good selection at breakfast, full English, cereal, friut etc and really good coffee.

Wouldnt stay again as not great value for money and seems room 4's shower issue has been ongoing since at least April...
