So after a long walk Monday decided to call for lunch which started off fab young quiet man took our order set table son and husband had game pool the. It went downhill fast
3 young men X a eon looked like men working in area they had work clothes on .
Young man who had original served us had been replaced by gentleman use term loosely of about 52 short hair who preceded to have conversation with 3 men at bar about the sports showing on to
After a while his language got more explicit he forgot we sat small child we waited 45 mins for our food I was ready to walk
But food came and I must say was beautiful Cullen stink soup was outstanding
But we did not return after that lunch which shame as pub was lovely inviting but wouldn't take risk of our small son hearing grown men talking with swear words dotted every other word
A real shame as I say previous 2 young men one very tall notbscottish to other lad small build early 30 were fab advert for this hotel

Thanks for a wonderful 4 nights !
Katie Mon 25/07/2017 19:27We just spent four nights at the lovely Carradale Hotel and were very pleased with everything. It was a great base for exploring the region. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the facilities were great. The staff went above and beyond. Thanks so much for everything...we will be back.
A great wee place for complete relaxation for us and the dog too
Christine Mon 05/07/2017 21:54Spent two nights at Carradale Hotel with my daughter, granddaughter and our dog. Lovely welcome from owners and introduced to other staff members. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was spotless and very comfortable with beautiful views of Aran and Goatfell. Had dinner there on the first night with the option of dining in the dining room or the bar/lounge, food was amazing and made from fresh as was our full cooked breakfast. Spent the evening sitting in the lovely conservatory. Managed to sample a few fine whiskys from the bar. My granddaughter and the dog had great fun in the secure garden. Surrounded by beautiful sandy bays, beaches and peace and quiet. Thank you for your hospitality, see you again in the near future
Disappointing
Olive811on 26/06/2017 23:54I will begin on a positive note. The breakfast here was very good, the dining room is lovely and the views out of the bedrooms were beautiful. Now to the rest .
We stayed here for an important family occasion. I knew that it had been taken over, and was told on the phone by one of the new owners that they were in the middle of renovations. When we arrived it was indeed to stepladders in the sun-porch and furniture jammed up against the wall in one public room. The tired-looking bedrooms and bathrooms were disappointing after having seen photos in the internet but that still wouldn't really have mattered if the service hadn't been so lacking.
Our rooms weren't cleaned the day after we arrived, and when I asked about this, I was informed that there had been "too many things lying about" in one room, and that my son had been sleeping in another. However, the third room, where there was nothing lying around and no one, also wasn't cleaned, and in the fourth they left the polish etc. behind. In one of the bedrooms, the window was jammed shut.
We booked dinner on the second evening following a ceremony on the beach. Unbeknown to us, a large party sitting in the bar had arrived an hour late. Because of this, our main course was hugely delayed, and was served around 10pm, by which time appetites at our table had waned and our good mood had all but fizzled out . No one came out of the kitchen to communicate why we were waiting so long. We lit our own candles and had to ask for cutlery for the main course.
We experienced some rather rude behavior on some other occasions.
I sincerely wish for this hotel, central to the Carradale community, that we just hit a bad weekend and was happy to read in the meantime some other more positive reviews.
