Quaint and absolutely beautiful Hacienda
Maria Don 03/05/2017 03:01Quaint and absolutely beautiful Hacienda I just spent two nights with a group of friends and his beautiful bed-and-breakfast. Beautifully located, one block away from the market, great restaurants within 2 to 3 blocks, bedrooms were beautiful each one had a fireplace large, spacious, and clean. staff was very nice and helpful, great breakfast, just ideal. I would love to go back to this Casa Capuchinas with my family
Quiet, clean with a great location
CANDD1on 28/03/2017 18:01Was not sure what to expect at Casa Capuchina's since our original reservation was with Casa Naranjo, but it was double booked. So, they put us up in this hotel. We actually were very pleased with the bed and breakfast. We were in room 5 which was located on the other side of the kitchen. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean. We had requested a hair dryer and there was not one in the room. Asked the lady working the front desk (who was the only person who actually spoke English), I also do not remember her name, me bad, but she went and got a hair dryer for us. What was strange was on one day, my wife took her shower and the hair dryer was gone. Appears that someone else needed the dryer and they took it out of our room without telling us. Just need to roll with it. The breakfasts were a good way to start the day. Started with fresh fruit and then eggs and black beans or pancakes. Decent breakfast. The grounds are very nice and are taken care of. We really go to like the location since it was close to the cross and to the famous Arch. We were in Antigua for 5 days and we really did get to enjoy the location.
Over All, a nice place to stay
RoEA87on 09/11/2016 18:07Over all it is a nice hotel and truly centric and has really comfy beds, rooms are well ventilated, and the place is beautiful
but there are some pointers to keep in mind before booking:
*Stay away from de room with the balcony, the street is very loud, (even on a week night), so we switched to room 7
*General illumination may be improved
*On room 7 the power outlets are not working properly, so you will have to choose between charging your phone or turning on your night lamp.
But then again, I recommend this place
Visita a Antigua, Guatemala
gab822on 29/10/2016 19:59Hotel is situated across from the Capuchinas Convent, good location, easy to find. Personnel really helpful, only has 8 rooms, beautiful gardens, rooms are clean and athmosphere is just what we were looking for.
Lovely B&B, with beautiful garden and beautiful rooms
taniakiamowitzon 18/05/2016 01:31Spent a night in Casa Capuchinas and was sorry I had to leave. The room was beautiful. Well kept, but old (like everything in Antigua... hence the name) and true to the local culture and beauty.
The price was extremely reasonable.
Staff was very kind.
Our room was huge. It was room #8. Had a beautiful view of the gardens, very spacious, even the bathroom.
I highly recommend this B&B.
Only so-so thing was that we didn“t have good wi-fi signal in the bedroom.
