Peaceful and quiet resort!
BlancheLTon 29/06/2017 16:31This hotel is situated on the Chapora river in a quiet and peaceful location. Amazing views from the restaurant and rooms. The restaurant/bar doesnt really have much to offer though. Its an ideal place to spend some quality time with your loved ones as there isnt much to do while you are here!
Old friends get together
Gitanjali Son 27/12/2016 12:18I went for the celebration of a friends 50th birthday and the staff could not have been nicer! They managed a group of 20 people staying there for 3 days plus organized a dance party of 80 people, including all the food and drinks, with an excellent standard of service. The rooms are tastefully appointed and there are lots of spaces to simply hang out & relax. It's a very quiet & secluded spot and absolutely nothing for miles around. I loved the exclusivity of the space.
serene lazy and wonderful
Ne26on 14/11/2016 09:04Casa colvale is a 12 room property set up as a villa with rooms on 3 levels. At all the levels there are central seating areas with balconies where you can chill in the afternoon. Room number 4 opens up onto one of the pools at the top level and has a great view. Rooms 11 and 12 open onto main pool and have a great view of the river from the bed.
Its a very quiet, peaceful location where you can just sit for hours staring at the river and possibly sight some water buffalos and birds but literally no people.
Very beautifully decorated all the rooms are pretty and have different colours but all done up keeping the ambience of goa in mind.
We were a group of 15 and I was hosting the same and had blocked the villa for 2 nights and 3 days and the manager Arya was wonderful in helping me set up the menus, a dj/karaoke night as well as transportation etc.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially one of the wait staff johnny who was pretty much run of his feet with the movement between the various levels of the villa.
The food was prepared based on menus we provided and while its not fancy its tasty and more like home cooked. But the chef was very accomodating when we wanted to go in and try our hand at bhurji etc.
All in all it was a fabulous place, great for groups who want to catch up and chill out together ( its far from pretty much everything so if looking for beaches markets etc this is not for you) and also for couples/families who just want to spend time together.
They do set up a boat ride etc if you want to get onto the river but other than that just lie by the pool and relax.
Breathtaking view, Average service, Terrible food
neha787on 11/11/2016 07:27I went there with a group of 15, and stayed there for 4 days/3 nights. It's a beautiful and spacious villa with a breathtaking view of the backwaters and a lovely pool right by the river. The service was average as the guys made moderate effort to help us with our needs. The food was terrible and options were limited. The water was cold for the first 2 days. The manager helped us to get bikes and cars, and also arranged a (paid) pick-up and drop (airport). The villa, though, stole my heart. NOTE: It's far from most beaches. There is nothing much to do around the place, and you will need to travel minimum 1 hour to get anywhere. Morjim beach: 40 min. Baga Beach. 1.30 min.
Nirvana On a lazy river
515katyon 23/09/2016 19:24This monsoon we had the most wonderful two days at Casa Colvale. My husband and I were the only guests at that time and the hotel was like our private residence. Excellent hospitality, great food, and personalised service made the stay very, very memorable. We loved the tastefully furnished verandas and our room was super comfortable. Thanks to our gracious hostess and the lovely staff, it was a holiday we hope to repeat very soon.
