Incredible experience
r0m25on 18/04/2016 04:02My wife and I stayed at Casa de Eira last November, and were welcomed like family by Fernanda and Germano. They helped us familiarize with the area and connected us with a bicycle rental company that set us up for a lovely bike ride along bike path by the Minho river.
Every morning, we enjoyed the amazing breakfast prepared by Fernanda with local ingredients including home-made jam made with fruits from the house orchards that Germano takes personal care of. It does not get better than that.
The house is very spacious and the rooms are comfortable and private. Our hosts did a great job restoring it and making it comfortable for guests.
My wife and I can't wait to go back.
An amazing experience in an amazing place
fernandofrancoon 10/06/2015 22:09If you like the nature, this place, this house, is wonderful. The contact with an amazing zone of Portugal, Minho is outstanding.
The food, the breakfast and the house is unforgettable.
If you go to the north of Portugal and want to stay in paradise, you must choose this place, between Valença and Monção.
And all around there plenty of places to visit.
The owners of the house are two wonderful persons.
We Loved this Place!!!
frankin2015on 06/04/2015 10:44The Casa Da Eira is within a couple miles from the freeway exits but yet it is so quiet and peaceful. It was the perfect location for us coming from Madrid to visit Vigo, Porto and A Guarda- which all are very much recommended. The rooms we stayed in were nicely updated, beautiful and very cozy. In the far room we could not get wifi, but in the other room we could. The breakfast was good, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice and cookies. The grounds and scenery were beautiful. The owners were amazing as they were so accommodating, warm and friendly. We enjoyed this place so much that we are trying to find an excuse to go back.
Excellent
Amie Oon 26/06/2014 09:29My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks mid June 2014. The villa is superb, fitted with everything that you will need.
The grounds are splendid, you are surrounded by lemon and orange trees.....totally private, and very quiet.
You are not far from the two local towns(about 8km) but you wold not know it.
The owners were very helpful and we felt that they really wanted us to have a great time.
A spit away from the Spanish boarder means you can visit Spain as well as touring the untouched beauty of Northern Portugal.
I would highly recommend a visit.
Lovely hostess and confortable stay
Francesco Mon 15/09/2012 21:23The hostess is the highlight of this hotel: very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is excellent with lots of home made jams and freshly squeezed orange juice; the room was not huge but comfortable. Very nice swimming pool and lovely orchard on the back of the hotel.
