Not worth the walk up the hill...
jordanmeon 09/08/2017 19:22After weeks of staying in cheap hostels, we decided to splurge and stay in the Junior Suite with the jacuzzi, fire place and amazing 180 degree views. Our stay started off wonderfully as we sipped wine and enjoyed the view. But soon we stated to realize how cold the room was becoming and that we didn't have any water... We left the heater on and went for dinner to return to a barely warmed room and finally some water. The next morning we woke to the sound of water and found the toilet pouring water out, something appeared to be cracked. Two helpful staff members attempted to fix it but we were informed we'd have to switch rooms... I asked if there was a view in the new room and was informed that it was a bigger, nicer suite with a view. We spent the morning packing up or stuff, then waiting for our new room to be clean, finally to move in and be disappointed. The room was nice, sort of cave-like with lots of rock. But it was dark, cold and had no view... by this point we'd missed the departure time to go tour the sacred valley. I asked the front desk for a discount for our troubles and she said "yes" and that we'd deal with it later. We returned later that evening and were offered a 10 USD dollar discount. We explained how that was an unacceptable discount for the lost time, trouble and disappointment. We pleased our case that we were warmer, more comfortable and happier at a place closer to the main square and less than half the price. The language barrier was rather tricky during this conversation. When it appeared that they couldn't budge on their offer, we then asked for our money back for the remaining two nights of our stay so that we could leave to somewhere more affordable and more comfortable. They again told us that was not possible and called their boss. After over an hour of discussions we were finally offered our money back for the last night of our stay and we had to switch to a new hostel in the morning. The women at the front desk seemed incredibly helpless and I felt very bad for them for having to work under such a selfish boss who appeared to be bullying them. Overall I can say that this place was beautifully unique and the breakfast was decent, but the comfort and facilities did not match the price.
So in Style with Cusco
Sharon Lon 25/05/2017 02:29We loved Cusco and Casa De Campo made the experience even more unique. The style of the place, the gardens and yes even the stairs all added to the feel of being in Cusco. Our room had an amazing veiw over Cusco and was so quaint, we adored it. Bed was comfy, breakfasts were adequate and again with a veiw. Staff were friendly and accommodated us with a room on our very early arrival. Located close to historial centre and safe area. Highly recommended.

michael don 09/01/2017 23:22a fun, funky, clean hotel in Cuzco. staff were fantastic. views were spectacular. each room is decorated in the style of a different artist. must navigate multiple stairs to get the the rooms to beware if this is an issue. otherwise a unique hotel. staff bent over backwards to make our stay great. will definitely be back again.
Excelente view and staff
Carlos Mon 01/01/2017 19:37We enjoy our staying in this beautiful place. It has a perfect view of the whole city. Everything in the historical Cusco city map can be seen from the room window. From day one to the end the hotel staff was helpful nice and very professional. For people who love natural life, the cold water is perfect to be healthy and dynamic.
