What People are saying

Lovely B&B near Castel Sant'Angelo & Navona

Glenys Von 23/05/2017 09:12

It was a lovely B&B just across the river from Castel Sant'Angelo. It's a great area for walking around. We used to live in Rome and wanted a place near Piazza Navona since we knew it would be lively throughout the day and evening. The staff was nice and the room was clean. After having lived in Rome, we now prefer a modern decor, but the decor at this hotel is perfect for tourists visiting Rome. It is newly refurbished, so most likely is made of modern materials but is in the classical style that will make a tourist feel as if they are in Rome. The pictures on the walls added a nice modern touch to the classic decor. The breakfast was fine as well.

The best part is the location. Even though it isn't near a metro and you need to take multiple buses to get to other areas of town, the area it's in is great for an evening stroll. You have Rome's best ice-cream shop nearby, Gelateria Del Teatro on Via Coronari. You are surrounded by numerous restaurants and boutiques and you can walk to many sights from there. You could come home late at night and the area would still be lively and safe. These are the reasons we chose this area. This is why you should too.

We know the area so we knew it wasn't near a metro and would have to take multiple buses. We ended up walking to the hotel from Largo Argentina rather than take an additional bus because we wanted the fresh air. However, there are plenty of buses nearby that will take you to Termini and other locations throughout Rome. The elevator is tiny but at least it exists. There really aren't any negatives, but just so you know these were as close to negatives as we found. The place is quite lovely and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Heart of Rome

We stayed in a triple bedroom for three nights.
One of the biggest rooms we ever stayed and this was the heart of a capital city in Europe. One of the most visited places in the world.

The hotel is in a lovely piazza with a restaurant on the ground floor. Campo di Fiori is just a few meters away.
We were at no more than 10 minutes away from Piazza Navona.
Less than 5 min away from the nearest bus stop.

The breakfast was more than satisfying by our standards.

Wifi worked just fine.

Staff was generally friendly. Specially Flavio that after 11pm, as our toilet flushing system suddenly stoped working, quickly managed to fix it.

The only catch was, that at night we could hear people partying in Campo di Fiori 'till 1 or 2am, since our room was faced in that direction.

Great location, nice room

We just stayed here for 3 nights in #103. If you close the window at nigjt it kept out most of the outside noise - after all, you are staying in the city so it wont be super quiet. The room was very clean, quite roomy, and the staff was helpful. The continental breakfast was helpful in the mornings. Also be aware there are no elevators so you will need to haul your bag up a flight or 3. But the location is great and it was an easy walk to everything we wanted to see. We arranged a car service through them to meet us at the airport when we arrived -- well worth it!

Beware - not even close to a 3 star

- Loud Noise Day and ALL NIGHT
- Impossible for anyone to use the toilet with out opening the shower door. (We were in the largest room we were told)
- flat pillows
- nowhere for luggage
- cleaning average
- left after 2 nights charged for 8
- each time we tried to speak to person in charge /owner - "she was out of town"

in the middle of it all
