Unique "Casa Dell'Arte" building
Throyon 14/09/2016 15:12We visited Casa Dell'Arte on a friend's recommendation, and thought we would have some lunch and look around the hotel to possibly make a reservation there for the future.
The entrance to the hotel is indeed impressive, especially on opening the front door and stepping inside, it has much more the feel of an art museum than a hotel, in fact the only person that we encountered walking through the building was the receptionist, who was somewhat frosty and dismissive of our enquiries about lunch. Nevertheless, we ambled through the hotels guest rooms which were admittedly beautifully furnished but somewhat cold and inhospitable. The architect of this rather marvellous building and its grounds must be congratulated and I suspect is probably a fan of the wonderful American architect Frank Lloyd Wright as there is more than a nod towards some of the Americans Los Angeles projects. Leaving the hotels rear entrance and into the garden and there is a dining area, and further a path to the beach, and around the corner to the right a further hotel building and another restaurant where we decided to eat. All these areas are liberally sprinkled with eclectic works of art, even the WC's are beautifully decorated with exotic tiles and vibrant paintwork.
The menu however left a lot to be desired, I had been in Bodrum for almost 2 weeks and on a diet of Turkish food and therefore decided to try a mushroom burger whilst my wife chose pide, neither of these choices were particularly inspiring or delicious, in fact my burger was rather overdone. However the service was satisfactory, and the waiter perfectly pleasant and obliging.
In conclusion if you want to come and stay in what appears to be a rather unique art museum then this is the place for you.
A quirky hotel in a fantastic location
Asli Pon 25/08/2016 11:35We stayed in two connecting garden rooms in the Village which gave us all the space we wanted and privacy. Our rooms - like the rest of the hotel had original paintings on the walls, some were for sale as well. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, beds are comfy, top notch linen, showers are perfect with locally produced signature shampoo and conditioner that smells like heaven ( Bodrum mandarin). Beach bar is two steps away from the swim ladder, it is like being on a boat. Torba's sea is not best in Bodrum peninsula but I was happy to put up with it for the sake of this hotel's comforts.
Slights disappointments were all to do with service; house keeping did not tidy up, only made beds and mopped the floor. Did not clean the veranda, empty ashtrays or simply took then away and did not bring back. Gardener/s made sure all the swimming costumes left out to dry from the night before were carefully soaked in the morning for some reason. While the front office staff were lovely, some of the waiters were border line rude. Especially the one behind breakfast bar serving vile tea and coffee. Breakfast was just fine for a small hotel like this, not huge but carefully chosen quality ingredients but the tea and coffee they served during breakfast was unforgivable. Coffee could be compensated with americano and Turkish coffee at additional cost but tea was just horrible.
Another point is the wifi. Between the room and the beach/bar connection was lost and not always was back. It was generally problematic even in the room.
Having said that I would still go to this hotel happily taking my own tea bags and paying for the coffee as well everything else made up for it.
We went on a family holiday but the hotel is perfect for couples as well.

PinarCorukon 24/08/2016 08:03This is a boutique hotel, with limited attractions, but if you want to have a quite and elegant holiday, don't miss this chance. All rooms are decorated with very nicely, and they have a few pieces of artwork that can be purchased. It is clean, well managed. The staff is friendly. The beach is nice with its greenery. If you will travel with your children, you will feel very comfortable, as this is a small hotel and your children will stay under control without any effort. There is a workshop area for the children where they can do their own artwork. I would recommend without any doubt.

TKMB17on 28/07/2016 21:09I visited with my mother a while back and was struck by the beauty of the hotel. We stayed in the main hotel not the child friendly section which was a great choice. The breakfast was incredible and was buffet style served inside and seating outside my favourite was the freshly baked bread and honeycomb honey.
Dinner was divine and serves on the private dock with candles, the corn and cod was absolutely fabulous and I had it three times!
During the days we sunbathed and had vegetable wraps and cocktails delivered to our beds!
I hope to go back soon!
