The Casa do Bairro is located right in the heart of Lisbon. Still it turned out to be very calm and the perfect place to relax. With just twelve rooms it is definetly not a typical hotel - much cosier and personal with really friendly staff. Staying there felt more like visiting lovely friends than staying at a hostel. Given the decent price, chosing the Casa do Bairro was the best thing that could happen to us!

Not often have I been to a place as charming as this one! The individual touch of the rooms make you feel at home, you feel more like living like a local than staying in a hotel/guesthouse. They provide you with everyhing you need: breakfast for all tastes including fresh fruits and juice, eggs prepared freshly on request etc. You will be handed over a city map and they explain to you where you can do what, how you can comute within the city. The people at the front desk are extremly nice, friendly & helpful. I certainly will stay there again!
You will have to go there by taxi or you need to walk a little bit if you come by public transport. Nearby you have bars and restaurants and a nice viewpoint to look down to the river. It is located in the citys nightlife area, however you will not be disturbed by the noise.

Thank you very much for beeing so kind and helpful. A quiet, big and clean room with a beautiful view.Just outside the hotel, I really liked the small balcony next to the lemontree. We stayed Sunday until Tuesday morning.

This hotel is close to the old part of Lisbon. It can be a little hard to find, but we took advantage of the transfer from the airport so we were dropped off at the door. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel, but as other reviewers have noted, Lisbon has many hills and getting to the old town requires you walk up a fairly steep hill. We were fine, but it is a consideration if one's ability to walk uphill is compromised. Friendly, helpful staff that helped us plan a day excursion on the one day we were flexible. The room was clean, updated, and charming.

Great location, we walked everywhere. Staff very, very helpful. Lovely facilities and ambience. We had a beautiful room: large with two full length windows looking down to river. Can't fault this place in any way.
