Four of us came in around 3:00 looking for lunch, and were seated on the entirely empty terrace, by a very nice waitress. After taking our menu orders, she also brought us water and drinks. After which, we saw almost nothing of her for NINETY MINUTES, while waiting for our food. She'd explained that everything was cooked to order, however, after the l-o-n-g-e-s-t wait ever for lunch, the food was rated as; good for the chicken curry, good for the snapper, good flavor, but very overpriced for only three stingy oxtail bones, (Try Pizza King in Ochi for twice the oxtails, at half the price!) very bland, mediocre peas and rice all around, and a "hamburger" which appeared to be some unidentifiable grey meat, which was sent back.
Some hits, a few total misses, but the unendurably long wait, (even for Jamaica, Mon) made this a very hungry, unpleasant afternoon. Their scheduled buffets may be fine, but be warned..... don't wander in expecting any kind of timely service otherwise!

crnamomon 05/12/2016 23:06Room on the top floor with great ocean breeze and a ceiling fan. Staff could not have been nicer. Chefs did great and were very anxious to please. Always there to explain what each dish was. Lunch and breakfast buffet so you can try many local dishes.

We did not regret it I want say thank you to the staff of this hotel for helping out any time I needed something and ask for it .very pleasant staff .i will surely return again .carlene
An Authentic Jamaica Experience
pruff79on 03/03/2016 23:53If you want to experience Jamaica outside of an all inclusive resort, this is your place. This is a unique hotel with a spectacular view of the ocean. Staying here felt more like a bed & breakfast experience than a hotel. The staff members are warm, welcoming, and accommodating. The food offered by the hotel's restaurant exceeded expectations. Casa Maria's location is relatively convenient to other destinations for those wanting to explore the island. Staying at the Casa Maria allowed us to feel more immersed in the real culture of Jamaica, compared to a high rise hotel experience.

pete19592014on 20/02/2016 20:27Great Staff! Nice Boutique Hotel with a great view of the Ocean. Easterly breeze negated the need for A/C. Hotel is gradually updating the rooms. Very much enjoyed the small scale of the hotel. The owners Paul and Colleen give a personal touch to your stay. Got a good flavor of Jamaica.
