Very Smart
Manni Mon 21/05/2015 16:35Very quiet , Pretty basic. Lovelly gardens. The nuns were very helpful regarding getting into rome by public transport. There is a bus 906 into rome city centre. I would highly recommend this hotel , very good value
great price, good value
Lucija_Moodyon 10/04/2015 09:54The hotel is really nice, it's quiet and guarded, the garden is cute, the rooms are always clean, I especially liked the bathrooms which have many assets and plenty of shelves and towels unlike some hotels I stayed in, the only thing I didn't like were the squeaking beds. The nuns are very helpful and super nice and funny, you can even buy bus tickets at the hotel. Now the position of the hotel is a bit far out, but I'm sure you've seen that when you booked it. It's a bit of a drag to come to the centre (with the bus and then the metro), but for such a great price you don't have any reasons to complain. The same with the breakfast, sure, it could be a little less sweets and more fresh things, but hey, it's included in the price and you get full. All in all, it's a great place to stay and I would book it any time again.
Four day stay in Rome
Stephanie Ron 10/05/2014 10:51The sisters were very welcoming.
The rooms were basic ,however; very clean and the beds were made daily.
The bathroom wuss clean and we had clean towels daily.
Breakfast was very basic continental.
The journey to Rome was easy once we had worked things out.
probably a little too far out of Rome as we were very tired each day sightseeing in Rome. you have to catch a bus and the Metro under ground tube to get to the Termini in Rome.
Day tripper tickets are easily purchased at the underground tube station the machine have an English button which makes things easier.
Fine for 1 night - but quite basic accommodation
Clare Non 10/10/2013 13:05We stayed here for a night as our flight into Rome got in quite late and we wanted somewhere accessible by car and close by. The nuns were very friendly. The room was quite basic, but clean and reasonably comfortable. The only artwork in the room was a crucifix above the bed. It's very close to the airport. Parking is very secure as there's an imposing gate.
Again, fine for 1 night but for a longer stay in Rome I would suggest looking at somewhere closer into town.
simple, clean, comfortable for a very good price
LucinkaSon 20/05/2013 15:03We stayed there for 3 nights and we liked Casa Santa Rosa very much, just the location... Rooms are simple, but clean, with everything you need. Breakfast is also simple - cereals, yogurts, pastry, croissants... nice sweet breakfast :-) The nuns are very nice and helpful, they can speak a little bit english or french or spanish. The only problem here might be the location - its like 30mins from the centre, but u can never know exactly how long u gonna wait for a bus, so it might make your trip a bit more complicated... If you have a car and you dont expect any luxury accommodation, then we definatelly recommend Casa Santa Rosa! if you dont have a car, its also not a big deal, but rather prepare yourself for spending more time on the transport... But also here the nuns can help you - they can provide you with a map, schedule of the buses, they can even sell you the bus tickets, and arrange a nice and cheaper taxi for you to go to the airport. The taxi from the airport is very expensive - 60EUR fixed price, doesnt matter where you go, but if you arrive in the evening, rather take it, because otherwise your journey to Santa Rosa might take almost 2hours (but if you want to try it, here is the way: shuttle bus to the Termini station, then metro A to station Cornelia and there you have to find a bus stop where you can take bus 906 to the stop Pescaccio - the bus stop at Cornelia is quite difficult to find and the buses are running like every half an hour). Also one advice - you cant buy the bus ticket in the bus, only in the metro station.
