Always Delicious
Wendy Aon 26/08/2017 22:26We love the restaurant at Casa San Angel. The food is always delicious and the service is fantastic! Octavio even remembers my name; amazing! Whenever we visit Merida, we always make several trips to the restaurant at Hotel Casa San Angel to see Octavio. On Saturday evening, stop by for dinner, before watching the singing and dancing right in front of the hotel. Sunday it is nice to reward yourself, after a bike ride through the city, with an iced coffee drink, homemade baked treat or my favorite, huevos moltelenos. Homa is the owner, and she is always friendly and gracious. A big thank you to Octavio for your warm, genuine and fun personality and excellent service! We appreciate the wonderful experience here!
Wonderful place to stay!
sargeantron 02/08/2017 02:14My wife and I stayed here two nights in July on our way to and from a reunion in Belize. We could not have been more pleased. Great ambience. Staff were very helpful, gracious and welcoming. Our room was first class. Breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was outstanding and relaxed.
Merida visit
Jeremy Mon 01/08/2017 14:53I highly recommend staying at Casa San Angel. The location, room and especially the staff is awesome. The moment you walk into the hotel and open air courtyard, you feel as if you have stepped into paradise.
Great base for 4 days in and around Merida
Anne Hon 22/07/2017 22:42Hotel Casa San Angel is a lovely remodeled house that is a short walk from both colonial downtown Mérida and the old mansions of Paseo Montejo. The rooms were clean, reception was nice and accommodating, and the continental breakfast was a great start to the day. Very highly recommended.
A little piece of heaven
cat449on 26/05/2017 05:59We booked with Hotel Casa San Angel in Merida, Yucatan Mexico for 5 nites at end of march beginning of April. Everything was really quite nice. It is truly a renovated Mexican hacienda with beautiful colours and enchanting rooms ours was on the main floor right off the courtyard which was very quiet and private. The only thing that might bother some people are the tiniest of ants that come out at nite in the bathroom and only on the floor. This is a historical building and these little guys didn't bother us...I just happened to see them when I was up in the night.
Our room was quite comfortable and I loved The ambiance of the hotel. There is a small pool that I enjoyed all to myself and with 40 degree temps I loved it. Our breakfast of pastry or toast and coffee or juice was included in our stay. They have their own bakery and so it is fresh each day. The waiters are amazing and we enjoyed their humour and chats. The coffee was the best!! The desk staff were very helpful in calling taxis or arranging laundry service. We loved Merida, very safe, very family friendly, wonderful cultural Merida symphony and many places of interest to take part in. We walked most places ..,wonderful sidewalk cafes!!! Money used was pesos and easily obtained at Bank ATMs
