Room smelled like mildew
Daniel Won 07/11/2014 18:28The room we stayed in smelled of mildew. My wife, who sensitive to mildew, had a difficult time falling asleep due to the odor. The proprietor offered us other rooms, but they also reeked of mildew.
The shower had mold on the grout, and I asked the proprietor if he could clean it, but as far as I could tell, he didn't. I wiped off what I could with toilet paper.
My wife forgot a piece of clothing in our room, and later when we emailed them about, offering to pay for shipping, we got no response. It could be due to the language barrier as no one on staff spoke any English and my Italian is marginal.
On the plus side, the bed was was comfortable, the breakfast seemed good (I didn't eat it), and it was very quiet. There was a very friendly cat who hung out with us for awhile. The proprietor was friendly, but I thought he could have been more helpful and responded to our email.
