Great for the wedding and wedding party with plenty of wine.
ICDTravelon 12/08/2017 20:56Castello di Meleto was the host location for my brothers wedding. We were a group of about 30 adults with 6 kids and there were little to no issues. The castle grounds were beautiful and the staff was semi-accommodating.
The space in the room especially the large suites are ideal for large families. They suites have large kitchens, courtyards and privacy. The rooms were relatively clean and accessible.
The Castle is a short distance from a awesome little community, Gaiole in Chianti, which has some shopping, haberdashery and nightlife.
For what it is worth I recommend Castello di Meleto for groups, couples or backpackers.

Everything was extraordinary!
alexandrabarbu1on 12/08/2017 10:27From the moment we arrived to Meleto Castle everything was excellent ! We arrived 2 hour earlier then the checkin time, but we were lucky the room to be already ready.
Everything was clean and tidy. Great breakfast and wine shop.
The Meleto Caste has two infinite pools with spectacular views with really were the delight of out stay after visiting the Chianti area
They recommended us a restaurant nearby which had extraordinary food, wine and serving

dgonca_816115on 18/06/2017 13:00The castle is located in a quiet area of Chianti. The place is gordeous, clean, and rooms are big and confortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a winery in the Castle, which made our stay even more interesting. I would definitely stay there again.
Great Castle, poor wine tasting experience
MrRwFron 07/06/2017 18:07We dropped by as it was close to where we were staying. The castle and it's ground are lovely, clean and well kept.
We did not, or could not visit the insides so I cannot make any statement as to the interior. If the outside is anything to judge by then it should be worthwhile.
Walking around the castles and it's grounds only take 15 or 20 minutes at most due to its relatively small and location. It would be difficult to spend any more time visiting the outside and there are no amenities, it is more for the caste guests..
However, the wine tasting experience left a bitter taste to our visit.. First, my wife was not offered a glass, there is no bucket should one not desire to drink the wine, nothing was on offer to cleanse the palette between two wines and worst of all the person behind the counter simply served the different wines into the same glass even though it was not empty, sacrilege.... This was wine tasting for people with no idea, definitely not for the connoisseur or for anyone that appreciates wine...
I nice place to do a short visit but don't expect much from the wine tasting...
Fairy-tale castle!
James Mon 07/06/2017 14:02This CHianti castle looks like something out of a book of fairy tales, and the setting is no less magical. We did a wine tasting there and really enjoyed the tour of the wine cellars, as well as the interior of the castle which was turned into a aristocratic villa, complete with a little baroque theater. Fascinating and beautiful!
