Who wouldn't want to stay in a castle!?
hopstiguyon 04/08/2016 13:04Great location for exploring Siena and the surrounding area, plus we had great luck with the restaurants just to the north (?) of the castle, La Piccarda (a trip highlight) and Osteria Bella Napoli. The stay in the castle was a return visit, and we liked it just as much the second time- nicely renovated. We were very well received by the agriturismo staff. It was a great stay.
Good stay at self catering castle

Authentic castle with antique finishing. If you are looking for a modern high tech swanky place this is not for you, but if you want a unique/ different experience and of course you have a car to get around, this is ideal.
Not a place to say yes we would return one day, but satisfied with stay if not overly excited about it.
Excellent family stay
Darren Son 07/10/2015 03:05The stay at Castello di Monteliscai was a genuinely wonderful experience. Large rooms, easy for self catering and dining and relaxing. The views were stunning and our children enjoyed exploring and playing around the Castle. The hosts were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Our kids loved them and they even helped us with coordinating bicycle hire and advice about where to shop, visit etc. A memorable experience. I would definitely recommend for families and couples.

UNSCToaston 21/09/2015 20:35What a unique experience to stay in a castle from 1100 AD. The hotel was very nice and in somewhat in the theme of what you would expect for castle decore, but was modern. But what did it was the setting, the beautiful country side, views and castle entrance. A taxi or bus is mandatory. It is highly recommend you do not walk the main roads due to pedestrian safety. It was a little inconvenient to check in at a different location, but if you have a car it would not be so bad. Siena would be the main attraction around to visit, being an old medieval town. There is no food or coffee at the castle, so bring your own food. There is refrigeration and a kitchen to use. The only two things we wish the castle had would have been wifi and a coffee maker at the castle.
A real castle!
Dafni Pon 02/11/2014 12:41A very nice and old building with excellent hosts! The room was very spacy, convenient and clean. The most important is the atmosphere, we felt like living in an other era. Also, the view is gorgeous!
