Enchanting Castle--Great Stay
Noah Won 27/04/2017 09:38I stayed in this awesome castle with my family over New Year. The castle is perched on a hill, so the views of the alps to the north is stunning. The grounds fan out around a greenhouse, guest rooms, an old hidden wine cave, and the castle. Breakfast is served in the castle kitchen, where a wood fire is burning on the floor to heat the room. The guest rooms are simple yet lovely. Highly recommend!
Wonderful historic experience
mochashomeon 03/02/2017 21:48My wife discovered this hotel in a travel book--our family was teasing her about "old fashioned" hotel searching instead of using the internet. Then we arrived and ate all our words! Yes, you can find this hotel on the internet, but it does not come up when searching Turin hotels. It IS a 30 minute drive from Turin, but worth every minute! Not fancy or pretentious, the history and quaintness, and most of all, the knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate host family make this a "must visit". I can't wait to return and stay here again!!!
An Absolutely Awesome Experience
Cate Won 05/01/2017 20:35My family and I were skeptical as we drove up the winding road to this hotel, located just outside of Turin, on the very top of a hill. We were totally surprised and in awe as we stumbled into this absolutely stunning castle; one of the owners promptly gave us a historical tour of the manicured grounds, highlighting beautiful sights of the surrounding mountains. After checking into our cozy rooms, the owner also booked us dinner reservations at a local restaurant (on New Years Eve!). Breakfast was lovely, and located in a different beautiful & historical room with a warm fireplace. As we were leaving, the other owner (the other's father, I think) made sure we were all set for our journey and watched to make sure our car made it safely down the road.
This was one of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed at - beautiful location, interesting historical buildings, and most importantly, ridiculously kind and caring owners/hosts.
A must-stay!!
Great castle
Boyan Kon 25/11/2015 11:19Great service, good rooms, very helpful owners. The castle has a lot of history starting from 10th century. The current architecture is from around 17th century. Freemasons lived at some point in time in the castle and they left really a lot of interesting artifacts, if you are interested in their history you should definitely go there to see.
The place is very romantic, has a lot of gardens and places with great panoramic view.
If you are fan of biking, kayaking or other outdoor activities you will really like it there. You can go kayaking in river Po which is really close. The owners also offers bikes with electrical motor which are very easy to ride.
Charming chateau; interesting and helpful owners
WilhelmdiNorrizioon 31/08/2015 13:22This is a fascinating villa, full of charm and atmosphere and in a peaceful panoramic setting. The owners are really happy to talk about the history of the chateau and castle which predates it, but also organise bespoke activities if you're interested: kayaking on the Po, arranging the rent of race worthy cabon cycling bikes etc.
This hotel is not however the Burj al Arab, and it is in a rural setting, so we were happy to accept the odd inconvenience - a cracked window pane, a light not working, a bit of nature in the hotel, as part of the deal.
