Just wonderful
Laurence_not_larryon 24/07/2017 19:45Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The pool is fantastic, the grounds extensive, the food delicious and the staff amazing. A special thanks to the women in the wine bar who was enthusiastic and devoted. The rooms we had (suites) were comfortable and well appointed. The air conditioning was excellent and made for a good night's sleep no matter how hot and humid it might be. Can't really think of any major criticism.
While there are one or two other places to eat in close vicinity a car is very helpful to get around, if not essential (hotel can arrange this).
Just for desert
on 16/07/2017 21:59We had eaten here on the previous evening and the food was amazing but we decided to go elsewhere for dinner needless to say it wasn't very good so we returned to the hotel for desert which was fantastic as was the service from the waitress Alexandria who introduced us to a Sicilian desert wine called Passito, which is probably one of the best I have tasted and in the top 5% globally. Sean Fon 09/07/2017 23:12Amazing old town on the hills in Sicily . We ate in la furnace restaurant . 5 star food . Very friendly people . Would highly recommend a visit . The road from the coast is a bit windy but a great experience . A real gem of a place .

candice son 06/07/2017 09:55We visited last week to celebrate my birthday. We were only there for 3 nights and travel to different regions of Italy every year favouring Lake Como, Portofino and Ravello but this was by far our best trip to date.
We were greeted at midnight with the warmest welcome by the reception staff which meant we started our holiday in a lovely way.
The hotel is extremely clean, the facilities are fantastic and you want for nothing. The customer service is outstanding with genuine welcomes and greetings by all members of staff. We planned to see more of San Marco and the Taormina region but due to being so content in the hotel we didn't venture out.
The grounds of which the hotel is set are stunning with lots of wildlife and beautiful lemon and orange trees. We loved that there was a private beach too
We stayed in a gorgeous junior suite which had a separate lounge area was contemporary with some lovely traditional features. The room was cleaned to the highest standard everyday.
The spa is fantastic i had two great treatments.
On the day of my birthday numerous members of staff said "Happy Birthday" and i was given a bottle of prosecco in the room in addition to more complimentary prosecc at dinner.
The restaurant is a serene environment and i must recommend the gnocchi as its absolutely delicious!
Thank you so so much to all the staff here for a fantastic trip. We will be back next year (early summer) with our 3year old daughter who we know will enjoy it as much as we did.
Like a luxurious campsite in a nice way
Foodie-Ervinon 23/06/2017 20:20We had a wonderful stay at the Castello in a very nice suite. Had dinner and breakfast there and hung around on their private beach for a day. All very classy and great quality. The service was superb overall, but Alexandra really made it special for us. Charming, attentive, always with a smile. Thanks Alexandra!
