grubby nasty hotel

Room 11 had a nasty stench coming from the bathroom there was mold in the bathroom and Grimes around the bathtub and a fool smell of dampness. As for the bed sheets, it had holes it been used so much that it was really worn out and the whites were grey now, the spreadsheet was not fresh It had stains of human secretions on it and also very old. Rooms are not supplied with any complimentary beverages... The motto of this hotel is treating people like rubbish they won't know. As for the food its the cheapest quality fake crabs and fake calamari. The only 2 good points are, the view is spectacular and it is very central. LOVe Holidays was the operating tours

The rooms are something less than average. You could hear the neighbors of next room, and outside of the door. The there was a bad smell every time you enter the room. Breakfast again was less than average. Sometimes the food was not even eatable. At the reception they were proffesionals with a smile every time you exit or enter the hotel. Bad point, is that the 2 elevators were old and had stairs in order to get to them. Imagine caring a baby stroller every time you want to uses the elevator.

Excellent location. Just few minutes walk to the center and to the gardens where the batteries are. Nice, clean rooms. The terrace on the top is the best. You have breakfast there while looking at the port. Also nice restaurant for the evening.

Right in the heart of Valletta with superb harbour views and a terrific daily menu...

After many years of holidaying in Malta we finally discovered the Castille Hotel in Valletta. What a discovery - what a tremendous hotel! Friendly, welcoming, warm and incredibly helpful staff. A superb buffet breakfast every morning to start the day and an evening dinner menu to die for to at the end of it. Would you expect Tortellacci al Salmone Cream & Caviar on the menu? I really don't think you would. How does Grilled Swordfish with Tomatoes, Olives and Herbs sound?The chef is an absolute genius!
On the more mundane side the rooms are clean and very well serviced every day. The hotel has well-aged character and is so well situated in Valletta within a few minutes walk of all the main attractions. If you are planning to stay in Valletta have a word with the Castille first. You won't regret it.

Our first but not last trip

We arrived late evening and the welcome was lovely, attentive pleasant ans explained local amenities during our booking in. All staff friendly and helpful during our stay. The rooftop restaurant for breakfast was a lovely beginning to the day with spectacular views. the hotel is in a great location short walk to the bus station providing excellent transport around the island. You are also a short walk to the heart of the city. Our room was on the left side of the hotel, some people have commented about noise levels - I think all rooms would have some level as the hotel is in a city after all. We had early morning noise not just from the sparrow tapping on the window every morning but the hustle and bustle of a city waking up. Our room was comfortable with everything you needed for our 5 night stay, if staying a little longer we could have done with ore storage space (drawer or shelves), the room was a little dark as light was provided by 2 table lamps.
