Spacious rooms great location
Ed Pon 17/07/2017 15:18It turns out most of the apartments are condominiums. Several management companies look after the units. We stayed in a 2-bed ocean front apartment with fantastic views. The complex is situated yards away from the beach. So for us the location is perfect. I was watching large sea turtles grazing on the coral from the balcony! The stay was very comfortable. The small kitchen with full size fridge and stove made is possible for us to prepare our own food. The unit had TV/Cable which we did not use. The wifi was weak: could not get it to work in the bedrooms. But it was fine in the living room. The unit we stayed in is not air conditioned but that did not bother us given the great ocean breezes filling the rooms. We would not have used aircon given the natural ventilation!
The instructions for arriving and check-in and obtaining keys were great. All worked out fine.
Bed bugs and not happy
J Yon 11/07/2017 07:29First night was horrible. We booked with Priceline. Plane landed at 9pm. Waited almost 1 hour for Buget rental car. Drive 45 minutes from Buget to Paki Maui. Got to Paki at most 12am. Walked to find dark office, no light in front or in office. Called Priceline, tried to called Paki no answered. Priceline try to find nearby hotel for us, nothing was available. Paki closed at 8pm. Mind you this almost about midnight and our phone was almost out of battery, didn't bring the charger. Priceline suggested that we drive around looking for hotel. Priceline also said that we should have called first and inform them that we will be late. We live in California, stayed in many hotels they don't close at 8pm or if it did closed at there is a way to contact the management.
Well anyway we slept in the at until 3am. The security gaurd found 5 of us was sleeping in a car. Took us to get the key from the key box. Security said this happened a few times before at this Paki. But they won't change. At least turn on the light where the poster was posted so we can see and follow instructions.
Hotel said Priceline should have contacted us on how the resort operates. Nobody inform us anything. We booked a package deal and thought everything will be fine. Nope.
Got to bed 4am. Got bed bugs all over arms and legs. My husband and I got the most bites. My children slept in the sofa bed only got a few bites. Complained to the front office didn't do anything. We stayed there 8 miserable nights. On the day we left they have bugs guy to spray the resort.
Would never go there again and never book with Priceline. Still have the itch and some started to heal with dark spots hopefully it goes away.
Great location and value for money
funferallon 08/07/2017 12:03I was really happy with the quality and cleanliness of the apartment. Of course it was hot. It was hot & humid everywhere and because electricity costs so much there are no air conditioners. Ceiling fans in the rooms helped overnight and during the day we were out doing fun things. Being able to self cater helped with the budget. There are places to eat and buy shopping within walkable distances. There is an on-site laundry but make sure you have plenty of quarters because the front office may not have any. There's an on-site pool but we were too busy to use it. It's also got direct waterfront access at the rear of the facility. We would stay there again.
Paradise found.....
Lynn Lon 22/06/2017 14:39(This is a condominium not a hotel chain) Our condo was even better in person than in pictures. Modern and updated, spotlessly clean, well stocked with beach items (chairs, coolers, etc.). The location is close to all the action, yet quiet, and smack on the ocean. Directly across the street are several small restaurants, a farmer's market, and a fish market that are excellent. Coin laundry available. Sunsets were phenomenal. Do not hesitate to book #214! Aloha
Nice place but needs AC
andrewkO837CRon 22/06/2017 12:07I stayed for a five days in early June. The location was very convenient, the price was great, the view of the water was spectacular, but it was so hot, you couldn't be in the room after 11AM until sunset. I can't imagine what it would be like in a severe hot spell.
The room was a good value, but if I were staying for a couple of weeks I'd buy a tower-type air conditioner at Wal-Mart and consider it part of the cost of the room.
