What People are saying

Oh dear! Lovely city, terrible hotel.

keithdenham on 28/07/2017 16:35

Booked a 3 night stay to explore Milan after reading some positive reviews regarding the area and the proximity to public transport. My mistake was only reading the reviews on the booking.com website, which in hindsight do not give a fair representation due to being favourable to the Hotel in order to secure your booking.
This hotel should not be advertised as a nice, family friendly and quaint hotel as it is on the booking.com website. It is a dirty, rundown and squalid place to take your wife and child for a holiday.
We stayed in 3 hotels whilst travelling around the north of Italy, the Crowne plaza in Padova, which is very, very nice, the Margarita mueble in Sirmione which is also friendly, clean and respectable and then it all went very wrong when we arrived in Milan.
I had booked a room with a double bed and a single and was given a room with 3 single beds, one wardrobe and no aircon. I refused this room and was offered to view another, which was the same! The third and final room was no better but the rude member of staff on reception stated, and i quote, "these are the rooms, no refund, take it or leave it, thanks you"
It was 8.30pm and we were tired, we had no choice but to grin and bear it. The room had 3 single beds, one sheet and one pillow on each bed and about 12 inches between them. The mirror on the door to the bathroom was smashed and the walls had mould on them.
The bathroom was tiny, and the shower itself was barely big enough for our 14 year old to stand in let alone an adult, there was nowhere to put your shower gel/soap except on the shower floor, and when you bent down to pick it up yor backside exited the cubicle! There was a rusty screw protruding from the shower wall and the fittings were rusty and discoloured.
The breakfast was appaling, it was included amazingly but wasn't worth getting up for to be honest, no hot food choices at all, just cheap tea/coffee and a selection of rolls and pastries with some processed cheese.
I have stayed at cheap B&B's while working away from home in Britain and this is in the same catagory as the worst of them. There were actually a lot of building contractors staying at the same time as us, arriving in their work clothes and sleeping 3 or 4 to a room so you know the sort of place this is.
Wi-fi is 5 euros a day, parking is 15 euros a day!!!!!
City tax for the 3 nights was another 27 euros so all in all it cost me more to stay here than the Crowne Plaza in Padova which is unbelievable.
PLEASE do not be taken in by the drivel you read on the other site, the photos of this Hotel were probably taken 15 or 20 years ago, this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and that isn't a statement i make lightly. Think old, rundown Blackpool B&B and you may be getting close.

Pros
Arrived at night and had no problem to check in. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Cheap.

Cons
Far from metro. Cold at night. Poor breakfast. No quilt cover, only a sheet under the blanket.

I am putting 3/5 only because we didn't have any major problem with this hotel. Overall experience was satisfying probably because of our great mood.

very dirty and bad

Merve D on 28/02/2017 09:44

Hello everbody,

we stayed 2 days at this hotel. It is very dirty and rooms smell bad.
location is too far to Metro station.
it writes approximately 300m to Metro at web site which is wrong.
Internet is not free. For 3 days are 5 euros and doesn't work.

pls. you couldn't prefer .

thank you.

Quite basic

dylanmega on 11/02/2017 17:18

If you just need a place to stay for 1 night it could probably be ok, but it's not something i would recommend for a long stay. Not so clean and far from the center, the guys working there were not friendly at all.

A normal budget hotel

175vasilp on 07/01/2017 06:06

A norrmal budget hotel. The room was rather cold, about 10 sq. m., only the most necessary furniture and TV. The WiFi is not free, but 5EUR per day. So the declaration that there is WiFi in the room is misleading for it is not free as usual, but rather expensive. The breacfast is really free and included in the price: "swedish table", of course not too various.
