McKinney Travels

Prebooked room. Met by young unenthusiastic man in the bar who reluctantly went to see if there was a room ready. Not a great start! Finally got led to a small room looking out onto a brick wall. The room was adequate for a one night stay. Couldn't recommend, only bar we didn't attend in uk trip.

Amazing and Fab Last Minute Booking

Georgie Won 15/05/2017 23:31

Booked this lovely little B&B last minute on the day before driving over so wasn't sure what to expect! We were so happy to find clean rooms, friendly staff and an absolutely terrific breakfast. The beds were comfy and the free parking was a plus. Staff went the extra mile, gave us heaps of advice about where to go. An easy drive to attractions such as Giants Causeway, Dark Hedges and the rope bridge. Thanks for a great stay!

Very Comfortable & Well Looked After

Booked last minute to catch the North West 200. Arrived Friday afternoon met the Landlady Michaella who checked us in and made us very welcome. The room was comfortable clean and quiet, just what was required after travelling all day. Traditional family run bar with a great atmosphere, friendly locals who don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. The next morning we were served with an excellent traditional fry up right on time at 0730hrs, one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. Great place ran by good honest decent people. Very enjoyable stay ... will be back next year.

Don't skip the North!

Carly Aon 05/05/2017 18:01

We stayed here on our trip up north and it was perfect for what we needed. Price was great and Michaela was very informative and friendly. The tavern itself has a long history so if you have a chance you should ask her about it. Although it was cloudy and rainy we had a great time around Busmills and biked over to the Causeways. When people travel to Ireland sometimes they skip the north, but if you can you should try to make it up there! I will come again soon one day.

Trip up north

corcnoraon 02/05/2017 22:52

Stayed here for two nights.
The pub is quite rustic and quiet.
Micheala, who signed us in was friendly and helpful.
The rooms were nice but just a bit too warm for me😓.
But the overall winner for me and my husband was the breakfast served, l think by the owner, a nicer man you wouldn't meet, who brought us out the most amazing breakfast with everything you could possibly eat or in my case not able too eat cause there was so much. I loved my trip up north and the causeway Tavern is really close to the causeway itself and the carrick a rede rope bridge so definitely I would recommend a visit.
