Wonderful
ashely kon 23/08/2016 00:18The view, setting, service, and good were out of this world. Seeing the barrels of vinegar from each side of the families, you felt as if you travelled back in time. Make sure to bring the cameras and an empty stomach!
Your Italian villa experience
Adrian_aceon 08/08/2016 21:08We stayed here only one night to celebrate a friends Birthday, we wish we had stayed a few days to do some walking and enjoying the area. It was a beautiful setting looking out of the rolling countryside. The rooms were large and comfortable with huge old beams and little window with shutters. It was the Italian villa experience that we love. The staff were really friendly and the food for dinner was just lovely. You must try the Balsamic they make themselves.
For a peaceful getaway this is the place. They did include a basic breakfast of cereal, breads, croissants, jam, tea or coffee, which was just fine to enjoy on the large patio, looking at the scenery.

Quiet, but beautiful
Nadievanon 02/12/2014 22:07I was a little disappointed in the lack of activities to do in the area but the hotel itself is really lovely. Our room was huge and so nice and the grounds were stunning. The restaurant was phenomenal. All in all, it was a relaxing, romantic stay.
Amazing Place
MOWCAY-Abacoon 12/11/2014 19:37We stayed at Cavazzone in conjunction with a stay at the Sidoli family's other facility, Hotel Posta in Reggio Emilia. We had visited Cavazzone in 2011 while staying at Hotel Posta but only for lunch and a tour of the balsamic area.
This agriturismo is located in a beautiful setting and features a few well appointed apartments and an excellent restaurant featuring the family's traditional balsamic vinegar. First and foremost is the hospitality. Umberto Sidoli and all of his staff, especially Tomasso, know how to make you feel welcome. Any request is promptly responded to and the staff is knowledgeable in helping you make plans to tour the area, including recommending restaurants other than their own.
Our apartment featured a small sitting area, well equipped kitchen and a spacious bedroom with large adjacent bath. The furnishing were typical period pieces that complemented the apartment and were comfortable.
The restaurant is in a beautiful room and features the excellent balsamic vinegar. The balsamic tasting menu is superb, the service is attentive and professional. If planned ahead the chef will do a well planned demonstration type cooking course that is very informative, although I prefer more hands on.
Overall, Cavazzone, as well as Hotel Posta, are worth a visit to experience the Reggio Emilia area and the Sidoli hospitality.
