Nicest staff I've ever met!
delaneyniebuschon 17/06/2017 11:37Had a wonderful time at the Celilo thanks to their amazing staff! Paula helped us last minute book a room and was so kind and accommodating! The experience of checking in was easy and painless and I was in my room shortly after arriving!
Friendly, accessible, and stress free
Nancy Con 15/06/2017 17:43Best staff ever--helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Prices are reasonable and it's worth the money for a room with a view. The deluxe king room has a work space with a view to the river and dam--great during a working trip. The smoke alarm in the room was chirping but maintenance had it fixed within ten minutes. Everything in the room was sparkling clean and the coffee included in the free continental breakfast was terrific.
Terrific Hotel!
STFPortlandon 13/06/2017 23:34Upon checking in Louise was very helpful getting us filled in on what we'd need to know for our brief stay in The Dalles. This included know the hotel's very nice breakfast, dinner spots around town, wineries, etc. The rooms were neat, clean and ours had a terrific view of the Gorge including the Dalles Dam. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Truly a hidden Gem
Samuel Hon 11/06/2017 21:50This is a funky place to drive to but once there one will find a hidden gem. We arrived late and were greeted by a friendly smile, Paula the night auditor provided outstanding customer service, a lot to be said at 1am at night. Our room was spacious, clean, updated, and comfortable. The only critique would be better communication with housekeeping we were prompted a couple times by housekeeping and the front desk after being granted a late checkout. However, this was not a deal breaker and the office manager Zaira was wonderful. We will be back it is obvious the owner pays close attention to detail.
Should have reserved a larger room
Greekprof7on 07/06/2017 17:39The description of the queen room really should be that it's best for 1 person, not 1-2. The rooms are small. Very small. Haven't been in such a small room since staying in a Microtel. There is also no desk in the queen room, another reason to upgrade to a king. But the room was clean and the bed comfortable, so I won't complain too much.
I only made use of the breakfast once and the selections were limited. No eggs/sausage or anything protein-rich.
The location is a little odd to get to - up a street that has 10 mph speed limit with three speed bumps.
The best thing about the Celilo - the price.
