Basic hotel next to station
lumaDon 21/06/2016 20:44The hotel is next to the station (therefore you do hear passing or stopping trains in the hotel). The city center is a 20-25 min walk or you can take the tram that is just outside. Parking was for free. We did not try the hotel restaurant and did not have breakfast.
Rooms are basic and ok.
Handy but basic
robinbwattson 02/07/2012 14:44If you have a train to catch this Hotel is ideal but it is a basic business hotel where even the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday when we stayed. There are a few basic cafes nearby including a station buffet but the town is a good kilometer uphill. However there is Germany's oldest and shortest tram route outside the hotel which runs on the hour and halfpast into town for Eurio 1.50 each way or buy a 4 journey ticket (Vieffahrtenkarte) for 4.70 Euros from the flower shop at the tram stop. Naumburg has a wonderful Cathedral 6.50 to visit + 5 for camera + 3 for audio guide. Not much in the way of eating places. We did have a great pot of stew at Zum Alten Krug on Lindering 44 on the way back to the Hotel.
There is no Wi/Fi or internet terminal at the Hotel which is unusual for Germany.
Cheap Rates, but disappointing
Levelheadedon 26/06/2008 22:21Good value given the very cheap rate I paid. But the walls are paper thin - I cd hear the radio alarm going off in the next room at 6am. The town centre is a 20 minute walk away, so disappointing that the hotel restaurant is poor quality & expensive. The Hotel Stadt Aaachen in the town centre seemed the place to stay, and the food there was good.
