Ok hotel in small town
Reiner Hon 15/05/2017 12:55Perhaps more of a pension than a hotel, the Central occupies one floor of an unremarkable office building in the industry quarter of town. This sounds worse than it is, there are sidewalks, it is safe at night, and only a few minutes walk to the station (Winnenden being a small place). The rooms have an average, 80s decor. They are clean, but not remarkable and somewhat small. The rooms towards the back are quiet enough to sleep with open windows. Staff is friendly, the reception not manned at night. Breakfast is good. This is clearly not a very remarkable or inspiring place, but it is relatively inexpensive and completely ok if you need to stay in town a night or two.
Worst night sleep in a looong time!

The bed was absolutely horrible, as was the pillow!
It's noisy, small and uncomfortable.
The breakfast was merely average.
Parking is no fun in their tiny garage.
It's also in a less than desirable part of town.

Gerardoqaon 10/04/2017 09:02Good hotel to stay in winnenden, pretty basic but very clean. The staff is very warm and nice, besides to hotel there is a Greek restaurant which is very convenient, also gas station and local super markets
Good hotel for business
Paolo Bon 27/02/2016 21:02I stay at the Central Hotel approx six days per month. The hotel is comfortable and very convenient for business travellers. The rooms are relatively spacious for average hotel of this kind. Rooms and common areas are spotless, really immaculate. Very appreciated the complementary tea/coffee and biscuits in the common area close to reception. Breakfast is good although do not expect 5* buffet. Kindness of staff is certainly to be mentioned: all gentle and attentive to customers' requests. Wifi available free of charge in every room. Again good speed, however do not expect optic fiber equivalent. If i may, it's a pity that the hotel does not feature a bar, especially given the fact that businessmen are clearly representing the core of the guests. Another suggestion for the owner: it would be good to replace the curtains of the shower with plastic or glass panels. A suggestion for the guests: try to avoid the rooms facing Max Eyth strasse as they are pretty noisy.
Economic, poor breakfast, average sleep quality
tucano71on 30/04/2015 13:21The reception lady was a trainee, so it took a while to check in. The room is average size, small bathroom, shower without cabin (this is ugly). Breakfast is quite basic, no big variety of food, cuisine smell from the Greek Restaurant in the lobby. The noise coming from the street is reasonable.
