Quaint Inn, delicious breakfast
Margie96on 16/07/2017 19:53We stayed a couple days when white water rafting the Chatooga river. The Garden Cabin was very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of linens, pillows and towels. Unfortunately, we found the bed and pillows quite hard and the floors very squeaky. We opted for the breakfast and were not disappointed. Coffee, teas and hot chocolate were available for self serve. Toni, the assistant inn keeper was great. Fresh fruit and muffins were followed by the main course: scrambled eggs, fried green tomatoes the first day and pancakes, French toast, bacon the next day. Overall, it was a very nice stay.
Farm to table dinner with local produce and surprisingly good local wines
CarolynAbneyon 20/06/2017 21:23Unexpected gem in this part of the state, where you expect franchises and BBQ. The owners are helpful without being obtrusive. The food was top quality. And the setting was such that you could hear your dinner companions. Look forward to going back......
Not just a meal - an experience!
lizzitudeson 14/06/2017 13:30We stayed at the Beechwood and had their fabulous Saturday night dining experience. A 5-course meal paired with wine with mostly local ingredients. David came out between courses to talk about the dishes and the ingredients used in the dishes, which made the meal more interesting. Gayle's lavender pound cake was to die for!
The best farm to table meal the region!

Starting 2017 with good taste in my mouth
judithwmooreon 02/01/2017 14:20My husband and I returned to our favorite home away from home , as well as our favorite restaurant anywhere, to begin the new year. We enjoyed a delightful pizza dinner on Friday night that spoiled us for anyone else's pizza ever. Saturday night's tenderloin was the best we have ever eaten. Every course was lovingly prepared and perfectly paired with a wonderful wine. We enjoyed the talents of local musicians with champagne before dinner and more champagne at midnight. Many of the guests were returning for the second or third New Year's Eve with David and Gayle, creating a warm and hopeful spirit to start the new year. John and the rest of the staff kept everything running smoothly while David regaled us with the details of the local farm to table sources of our food, as well as romantic tales of the provenance of our wines. Our thanks to the Darughs for another memorable visit to the Beechwood Inn.
