Clean convenient & cheap

We needed an overnight stop on our way to Devon (4 adults 1 child). We originally booked a twin room and a family room but were upgraded to an apartment. It was clean, well equipped and just what we needed if our want a cheap short stay place this is it.
Only issue for us was the apartment was very hot and there were no windows to open, only doors onto a large balcony with a great view!

clean room with kitchenette. microwave fridge plates cutlery. some rooms have showers in the room . some use shared facilities. check in is between 2pm and midnight so good for last minute booking. key box code text to you with apartment number so easy check in. plenty of parking. good communication with Roomsbooked who deal with booking. quick to answer my email with a query.

Studio but no toilet other guests very noisy

It may be my misperception that a studio is self contained and includes a toilet. I was therefore unprepared and without suitable attire to go to the communal toilet and had to get dressed to go to the toilet in the night. The accommodation is well priced and generally served our needs. The bed was comfortable. One other set of guests were noisy with there coming any going all times of the night, so I agree with the review re thin walls.

Avoid like the plague!

Our booking was made and paid for by a local charity, for a team of people that would be carrying out a fundraising event the following day. In a bid to obviously keep expenditure down, to ensure as little cost as possible to the charity, we booked Central Studios - I cannot stress enough that this was a huge mistake.

On arrival, the guests arrived in the evening to a demand of a £500 - this information was not detailed in any of the booking confirmation. This information was extremely poorly communicated to us and very badly handled by the accommodation staff on the evening. As a result, refused entry to the room, meaning they had to find alternative accommodation for that night.

I emailed Central Studios to register a complaint and a requested a refund for the unused room. In replay they detailed 'We do not include pre-authorisation information in the fine print as it is common practice in the industry'. Following this, they point blank refused the refund, with no apology, just hiding behind their own bureaucracy!

I don't understand why you wouldn't want to make this kind of information easily and clearly available. If this would have been the case, the issue would have been avoided.

Their poor communication and lack of decency has meant that the charity has unnecessarily lost funds that could have been much better used!

If you can, please spend the extra £20 and I am sure the investment will be more than worth it!

Booked as it was only 1 night.

Good:
Room fairly clean
Fridge, kettle , microwave and TV
Cheap
Parking

Bad:
Shared bathroom facilities.
Hot, stuffy and airless
Noisy (walls paper thin)
Nauseating smell of weed from the low life's who also book to stay here

I wouldn't come again!
