A comfortable and friendly hotel, well located in the centre of Barnaul
ecco-eccoon 20/08/2017 12:29We enjoyed our stay here. We moved from a premium room to an economy room when we extended our booking, but both were fine – the differences were mainly a larger bathroom, a bit more space, and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The location is excellent, with the excellent Free Man coffee bar in the same building, and a supermarket right next door.
Business rooms are modern
IrinaG84on 18/08/2016 16:14The hotel is old but the the rooms (we stayed twice in two different business rooms) are good. The most expensive business rooms are priced according to the quality provided. Fast WiFi connection in rooms. Good shower and overall bathroom is spacious and modern. The bed is a bit harder than should be or just simply sagged which was the only one disadvantage. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. We stayed in the hotel twice both time arriving early, at 7 and 9 am. It was a huge and great surprise to get the room immediately without extra payment. The rooms are clean and quite.
Dated - but clean
FiddleGirl70on 17/02/2015 06:19This is an older hotel that clearly could do with updating. However it is clean, with fast wifi connection in all the rooms. I had a suite with a very pink bedroom and very blue living room. The furniture was definitely old and the bed was not very comfortable (sagging). The bathroom was spacious and the hot water supply was consistent, which isn't always the case in older hotels in Russia, I've found :-)
Breakfast was very simple but the blinis were tasty and the dinner menu had pictures which made it simple to order (no English menus if I recall correctly). My major gripe was the very bright exterior lights of the hotel which shone right into the bedroom - all night - making it difficult to sleep.
Probably the worst hotel I ever stayed in
janjanssenon 12/06/2014 00:51Granted, the price shoudl give it away, but this was terrible. Terrible rooms, terrible entrance area. The phone in the room immediatly rang when we switched on the lights with certain services being offered. Never again.
Soviet era - a pleasure
Richard Kon 26/03/2014 01:08i have just spent 2 nights in the hotel; very clean, tidy quiet and functional. My bathroom was a delight. The breakfasts were a typical Russian fare - definitely value for money.
my room was non - smoking but there was a huger ashtray in the room and the room did have a smell of smoke which suggested a non smoking room had lees smokers
Great view of the square and very close to many good shops, a children's playground and of course shops
