The rooms are clean big and well arranged. Beautiful. I loved working in the gym with all the machines you could ever think of(fully equipped). They have very nice swimming pools and variety in steam and sauna. I loved it to bits

Unfortunate but not really that bad

The Centrovital is a multiple purpose compound which besides excellent fitness and wellness facilities offers also curative medical treaments by physical activities.
The 4-star hotel further more offers excellent meeting and conference facilities.
The hotels rooms offered excellent comfort including free and stable WiFi, tea/coffee in the room and a spacious bathroom.

The reason for only a level three assessment form my side is based on the following observations:
The room had a nice view towards the lake, but not only the noise of aircraft going in and out at Tegel airport, but also daily early morning delivery/pick-up service trucks ruined the chance to rest and sleep well. When we decided to keep the window closed it was quite in the room but there is no air condition in regular rooms and the fan we got from the front desk upon request could not cope with the size of room.

All staff was very friendly and tried to do their best, but unfortunately they lacked clearly proper leadship and information. For instance when we asked if the roof top bar would be open one evening, we were told: "of course!". As you may expect the bar was closed that night.
Similar negative experiences we made in the restaurant when we ordered a simple Gulaschsoup, which was not prepared according to the menue. It took the waiters almost 15 minutes to get some sour cream from the kitchen. No serious apology was heard neither any other compensation was offered. We over heared similar complaints that evening from other guests.

The breakfast in the hotel was very good and offered a good choice including options for English breakfast or lactose intolerant people. The price for the breakfast would be 13 Euro per person if booked already with the booking, but then is added for every day of your stay. If the guest wants to opt for a day by day decision to book breakfast the price rises to 21 Euro per person which does not match the value of a breakfast. We figured out some amazing turkish breakfast locations nearby which were cheaper, offered also excellent breakfast while proving very charming service and better value for the same amount of money or less.

The fitness classes offered for free for hotel guests were very good and the trainers were professionally engaged and provided very good training value.

All in all the Centrovital provided a mixed experience for us, which was not really but in total not very convincing.

Average hotel, good gym and pool

Was here for a conference over a week.
Rooms are clean and comfortable but fairly average - bed comfortable but small (single beds pushed together).
Gym and pool are both excellent however, as are the conference facilities.
Good WiFi provision throughout the hotel.
Hotel is close to Tegel, costs approx €25 for a cab.

Very good, on the whole

The hotel - very large, but clean and modern. All staff were helpful. The one checking us out let the hotel down by not smiling, thanking us, saying goodbye or wishing us a safe journey, Such a shame as everyone else was very helpful and friendly.

We booked a junior suite for 2 adults and 1 child. We expected some living space but we had 2 bedrooms with adjoining doors. Slightly disappointing, but the beds were comfortable and the idea of putting 2 single duvets on the king size bed was genius! No fighting for the duvet. The bathroom was perfect for us - separate bath and shower, with 2 sinks and a loo. Free mini bar containing soft drinks and 1 beer was nice. The water is topped up daily. The rooms were carpeted, which avoided hearing any footsteps above us. I noticed a lot of complaints about the A/C. I ignored that as I didn't think it would be necessary in freezing February. Wrong. We did have A/C in the child's room, but unfortunately it didn't come in our room, so we opened the windows and had very noisy aircraft. After that, we opened the adjoining door once our son was asleep, so we could benefit from some cool air.

Breakfast - it was perfect for me but my husband expected more cooked food. Only a minor issue.

Spa area - this is a major plus, of course. Fabulous gym and pool areas. We were looking forward to using the sauna but the staff INSIST on using these nude. We did sneak in with our towels, but everyone else was naked, which wasn't great for us! Maybe this is the norm for Germany but saunas in the UK are only naked with single sex. Be warned!

Location - not ideal, but we knew that when we booked. It's a pleasant 20 mins walk to the train station and then it takes around 30 mins to get to the main attractions of Berlin. Should be OK if you fly from Tegal airport, but a long way from Schonenfeld.

Spandau - the Brauhaus is good for German fare and beer. Not so great for vegetarians or people hoping to avoid sausages! Sy Vietnamese restaurant was a real find! It's cheap and cheerful but the food is excellent. You'll find it near the cinema.

On the whole, this was a very good hotel. In hindsight we would look for a more central hotel, if we could find one with such good facilities.

Great spot for a relaxing getaway

The Centrovital is a great spot for a weekend getaway. It is located about 45 min from Berlin Centrum with public transportation. So if you want to combine with a visit to the city center, mind the transportation time.
The hotel is a great spot for relaxing. The spa area is really nice. There is also a roof top sauna with a terrace accessible from the spa area.
The only minus is the sauna areas, which are naked areas only. And it is mixed male and female. So don't be too shy if you go there. Would have been nice with some more privacy there.
The breakfast is nice and varied. But you should go early, if you want to make sure to taste the speciality of the day.
