Brilliant period B&B
MB6391on 07/06/2017 01:04Not sure where to start as our stay was excellent. Our host - Jack fully explained everything, recommended restuarants/diners locally - you couldn't ask for more. Room was spotlessly clean, superfast wi-fi and a comfy bed. The breakfast was great and a totally relaxing affair. Highly recommended.
Beautiful historic home
Teresa Hon 29/05/2017 20:29We were cycling the Williamette Valley trail and the hosts were great on communication well before we arrived. The home itself was top notch with luxurious bathroom and great breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay again ourselves.
Great B&B
Meridith Gon 15/05/2017 06:55Lovely and unique home, in a convenient part of town which is run well and with personal care. Owner is helpful! Also, parking was not an issue. We really enjoyed our stay, everything was managed so well. I highly recommended it!
B and b's Should Have Excellent Breakfasts
marvin67on 14/05/2017 22:42First the house itself is beautiful! The gardens are beautiful in the front and sides. The back yard is mostly just grass. The decor and rooms are wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the room was big enough (4 of them in the house upstairs) with ensuite bathrooms. All this was a definite plus.
Second though the breakfast. First morning it was sparse. Two Blueberry pancakes which weren't big, tasted okay. Along with half a grapefruit (I don't eat, my husband did). I asked for a scrambled egg for protein. We got that but I asked. No black tea, lots of fancy teas. I made myself the cup of tea using my black tea, they don't serve the tea. Orange juice was served, of course. Second morning we got to the table 15 minutes before they stopped serving. We were served cool scrambled eggs that had been sitting, a small, small serving of luke warm hashbrowns that were probably previously frozen by the taste and look. With that a small muffin that had ready hardened on top which tasted okay. Both days a smattering of fruit. Orange juice of course.
What I'm saying is the breakfast is adequate, just Meh.
If this matters, your breakfast be as wonderful an experience as the house itself... take this into account. Also the shampoo, conditioner, etc. It may or may not be too your liking. Seems they refill the bottles with some type of cleansers. My husband did not care for the body wash. I bring my own stuff.
The owner was cordial, allowed us to check-out an hour later too.
Spectacular charm!
tomT9061SRon 09/05/2017 04:17My wife really enjoyed our stay at C'est La Vie Inn. A great location for an exquisitely restored and manicured house and gardens. The owner Jack was gracious and accommodating. We missed two breakfasts, but wow, our last morning was delicious. The rooms are great, quiet and have their own bathrooms.
