What People are saying

Great experiece on our cycle tour

As expected a unique experiece in a beautiful Chateau. Breakfast was very special at a table overlooking the Lot - worth every euro! The bistro in the courtyard was excellent and highly recommend the rose champagne

Well worth a stay

This Chateau is in a fantastic location with stunning views over the valley and the river. It is well placed for a visit to Cahors which is well worth a visit. The staff were very friendly and while we didn't have any issues at all, you got the impression that nothing would be too much effort for them were you to ask. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Nice pool as well.

This is a beautiful 13th Century Castle

This place sits majestically on a hill with
A fantastic view . sit outside and look over France and have lunch, which is quite formal but exquisite. Out of a Fairytale. Or you can eat inside. Lunch is a tremendous value. Yes it's expensive but not for what you get. Dinner which we didn't do is exquisitely expensive but there is no doubt in my mind that it is worth it.

My favorite room in the Castle is the breakfast room. You can eat lunch inside the Castle but it's very ,very formal.
Get dressed to eat here. Inside the Castle
Eating are Ambassadors and Men with their Mistresses.

The rooms are lovely and great value,
Yes ,they are expensive but not for what you are getting.

You are in Cahors. Drink Cahors wine. It's value and excellent.

Cahors, on the main road ,in the Commercial area, looks like a
French ,Brookline Massachusetts.

If you want to buy a house in France that is not expensive, compared to the rest of the
Civilized world, buy here. The houses are
Gorgeous 18th Century Manor houses and they can be bought for a song. However
Tremendous renovation is required.

No Tourists or Americans in this part of France. Authentic

Stayed here for one night alone during a motorcycle tour of Spain and France. Hotel is in a 13th century Chateau overlooking the river Lot. The location is stunning and the views fabulous.

I stayed in a suite which was huge with large modern bathroom. The décor and fittings in the main room were generally antique.

The hotel offers free wifi but I never managed to get it to work. Internet using data roaming worked OK in this location.

Although classed as a 4-star much of the hotel has 5-star elements especially the attention from staff and, it has to be said, the prices.

I ate dinner in their restaurant which has a Michelin star. This is the first time I have eaten in a Michelin starred restaurant and was nervous that I might find it intimidating. However, my fears were unfounded and if anything it was more relaxed than many lesser establishments. Although dining alone, and although busy, I was seated at a table in the middle of the room; anyone used to dining alone will know about being shoved in a corner in a busy restaurant. I was looked after by one waiter – Etienne – the whole time, who spoke good English and did everything to help me enjoy my meal. The food itself was divine and words alone aren’t sufficient to praise the passion fruit soufflé I ate for desert.

Although the hotel and restaurant are fabulous, this all comes with a large price tag. The restaurant meal alone was €200 and the room and other stuff another €400. If you are prepared to splash out for something special, you could do worse than stay at this memorable establishment.

Very charming and comfortable, great views

Excellent quality hotel and good value, service impeccable without being overpowering.
Very comfortable and welcoming. Menu rather too haute cuisine for our taste but good if you like the style. Own vineyard - white wine particularly good.
