Eclectic and pleasant
Tamutoscanaon 20/05/2017 16:50An old chateau with large rooms that have been modernised to a quite adequate degree, the hotel retains a certainly style charm in its dated style. Run by a very friendly and helpful Flemish family, this is a ideal place to stop over if driving over from the UK via Calais to continental Europe.

David Won 18/05/2017 18:23Great place to stay excellent hosts, accommodation and food. Very easy drive from Calais. Could not be better. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. The other reviews say it all. They are the perfect hosts. Dogs are welcome
Enjoyable stay
Brian Mon 09/05/2017 12:28We stayed one night and agree with all other positive reviews. Full credit to Francis and Cedric for all the work in restoring the chateau. Warm welcome, excellent room and first class breakfast. We did not eat there in the evening but in the town at the New Lys (?) where the food was good and the Spanish owner most charming.

The hosts a father and son wear their hearts on the sleeve and manage this gorgeous property with soul and an abundance of love. You MUST stay for the food which is fresh tasty and classy yet simple the old fashioned way
Great hosts, Lovely chateau and grounds
Mark_from_Thailandon 01/05/2017 19:47We arrived at around 2100 and Francis was waiting for us. We received a warm welcome, were introduced to Cedric, his son and were shown to our room quickly. Cedric is very friendly and ensured we felt welcome, our pet dog was comfortable and advised us on local restaurants to visit.
His restaurant recommendations are to be trusted as we had a great dinner out.
The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean, with a large bathroom & separate toilet. We managed to find English on the TV and slept very well on the bed.
Breakfast was fresh & tasty, the normal French style cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs and plenty of delicious croissants and bread served with fresh coffee. It was good and, again, served with a smile by Cedric.
The hotel itself is lovely, having just been renovated to a good standard. The rear garden is also lovely and provided plenty of space for our dog to run around.
