Beautiful place
rashidaj2on 09/08/2017 01:15The thing I liked about Chachagua it's a hidden gem. It's beauty is unlike no other and peacefully perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful and accommodating to your needs. Keep in mind no access to TV, Telephone, very spotty WiFi that is one of the things i mostly enjoyed about Chachagua. We stayed October 2016 during low season we had the place to or selves for like 3 day.
A few days in paradise
Vacations299on 07/08/2017 16:49The rooms were well kept and the gardens were simply beautiful. A wonderful surprise was the hike around the lodges grounds. Our guide Joshi was very knowledgable and friendly. There were several trails with different difficulty levels. Rubber boots are highly recommended.
Peaceful Beautiful Place

Wonderful, clean place with super friendly people!
kim962on 02/08/2017 18:44We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of June. While the road leading into the resort was scary at first (we wondered if we were really heading the right way), once we realized the resort was down that road, it became normal. (we found out later our GPS didn't have the other, easier road loaded in it, which would have been nicer)
We were greeted by Carolina at the front, open air desk, who was so sweet and helpful! We were even escorted to our room by the resorts dog, who was a darling, and somehow knew exactly where our room was and brought us straight there.
Our room was small, but clean and the resort was very private. The week we were there it was quiet, few people staying there, but it was perfect for us! (10 families were coming in the day we checked out) Food at the restaurant was very good and it was nice to have the choice of "typical" or Costa Rican food, or more american like food. We tried to eat typical food as often as we could, even our kids (11 and 7) ate most of the meals. We brought bottled water with us, just in case, but found the water was just fine and had no issues drinking tap water.
We met the manager, Diego, on our 2nd day there and he was warm and welcoming. He gave us a wonderful tour of the property and discussed all their plans for the future with farming, etc. He knew a lot about the local flora and fauna and it was a fascinating 2 hours of discussion and walking.
The resort offers several activities, although we had plans elsewhere, so were at the resort mainly for eating and sleeping.
We loved the Chachagua Rainforest area in general and after our 3 days there, we spent 3 days further south on the Pacific ocean. Even though it was beautiful, it did not compare, we felt, to the Rainforest area with it's true feel of Costa Rica.
We would love to go back someday!
Lovely place to stay
