Old-style hotel with nice staff
ToyotaLandCruiseron 16/07/2012 20:30We booked this hotel on internet because it was the cheapest one in Khabarovsk. The building was really old and also the interior. We got a room on the 7th floor and got help with our luggage by the lady watching the entrance of the hotel. She showed us our room, breakfast room and went with us to the main road, about 10 min walk, to show us the bus stop. It takes about 20 minutes by bus to get to the city centre. She was really nice and helpful. She returned to us the credit card when we forgot it at the reception. The room was old (mostly the bathroom and balcony) but ok. There was a fridge and TV. We were really surprised when, after arriving late from the city center, we were offered a room on the lower floor (we prefer not to take lift in any buildings, not only in the old ones). We could move the same night and didn`t have to pay extra. The new room was much nicer and newer. We enjoyed it. It seems like the rooms on the lower floors are being renovated. The breakfast was not the best one we have eaten, one morning we got rice with meat and vegetables which was a full dinner. The reception ladies were really nice, they told us they were worried about us when we arrived late from the city centre. Maybe not the best hotel in Khabarovsk, not very centrally located, but the staff was really nice. Sometimes it is more important than the standard of the hotel.

saa24on 10/07/2012 05:11Take away from this hotel, until you want to go "back to the USSR". It's oldex-military hotel located far away from the center of city and main roads in dangerous district. It's cheap, but very ugly inside.
