great hotel with amazing breakfast
Chris Gon 11/07/2017 21:44we spent a great day and night at this hotel, enjoying a wonderful atmosphere, lots of space, very friendly service and a very charming room. But this is actually what we have expected from a top hotel. The most amazing part was the breakfast buffet. i never saw so many choices of great cheese! the breads are firstclass, the fruits fresh and all sides available. To then enjoy on the wonderful terrasse is simply amazing. so make sure that you do not leave too early but plan enough time for breakfast.
Luxury weekend at a 5 star hotel
LadyBBeeon 03/07/2017 23:33We stayed here for a wedding in April, the end of the skiing season. The hotel is luxury standard and expensive. Our room in the annex building was on the small side but comfortable. The bathroom was also small but otherwise good. The service was excellent and the food delicious.

Once I began planning this May vacation in March of 2017 I wanted my husband to see the entire property. We were met at the train station in Chur by Grit Daoudi the Front Office Mgr. She upgraded the room to The Grand. "The Grand Resturant", food was excellent! However, table service from staff person to another does differ. It was afterwards I was told some staff come for a season and move on. The property is quite a bit away to travel. But only 1+hours by train from Zurich. I found the Spa immaculate. The staff were very friendly and extremely experienced. Including the the Cosmologist or Makeup Artist. She is sensitive to your skin needs. Very good with English language. Her suggestions were spot on. Their product Ananne, I was amazed at. My massage therapy for my foot and full body was done expertly by another experienced masseuse. The ladies at the Spa Reception are very good. But speak little English.
We ate Italian on the property twice. Food and services excellent! Their manager does it all. Plus, they offered pizza, with a very happy pizza maker who smiles. Housekeeping ladies are dressed impeccably. The happy ladies (2 to clean your room) do like the job. Laundry comes back perfect. Room service for our breakfast on the balcony with the Alps was wonderful.
The hairdresser, Mr Werner Gauch Intercoiffure is a short ride to Flims, very good.
Fiona Engel, Lisa Hormann Simone, Nienke Rippe, Kreshnik Maloku and K Beck are among the most customer service oriented people on site I like to thank.
Not quite hitting the mark
Frequenttraveler031on 27/06/2017 12:19I'm marking this Hotel down for several reasons. The worst must be the lack of air-conditioning, yes I know that Flims might not have temperatures in the 30’s very often, but aircon is simply part of a 5 star hotel. The Staff, (mostly German) leaves much to desire. For instance, when we sat on the terrace for a drink, one of the waiters shouted from the door to ask if we’ve been served already. No, no, no! You walk over and ask discreetly. Also the staff would walk past you in the corridors chatting to one another, but not greet the guests. Same for the General Manager. He walked past me twice, looked me straight in the eye and not even nodded his head. I’m very disappointed in the Grand Hotel Waldhaus.
Wonderful week end escape
Susanne Oon 06/06/2017 23:06My husband and I had a perfect week end stay at this hotel. The room was gorgeous, the beds heavenly and the service impeccable. We enjoyed dining at its finest as well as pure relaxation in this truly beautiful hotel!
