ladydoc9on 19/08/2017 01:20We chose the Chandler Inn because we wanted a location close to downtown at a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean .... our only complaint was the queen bed, which had a big trough in the middle and since we were in 802, next to the elevator, we heard the door to the corridor bang all night. Ask for a room way down the hall from the elevator. The flatbread from the Trophy room was awesome!
Clean, inexpensive, good location.
Glenn Jon 16/08/2017 19:56Recently updated. Small but clean rooms. Half the price of other hotels in this area. 400 meters to Back Bay Station. It is a good place for a safe inexpensive stay in Boston. Quiet and safe neighborhood.
Comfortable rooms but Mike and Tavis on the front desk made the stay!

Friendly staff but it was Mike and Travis on reception that made the stay memorable, they were so helpful and gave great advice on what to do and where to eat, they really helped to make a memorable stay for my sister and myself!
Clean and tidy
Jerneygirlion 14/08/2017 16:06My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights before heading out of town and we were very happy with this hotel. We arrived quite late at night and were greeted with a friendly welcome (and a token each for a welcome drink in the bar next door which is always very nice!). We were given a room on the sixth floor, the lift was efficient and the room clean and spacious enough for the two of us with en suite bathroom (large shower). If you are at the front of the building (which were were) then you do hear people on the street downstairs (I assume they were using the busy bar which closes at 2am), but to be honest we were quite jet lagged so it really made no difference to us! The hotel is in a great location, just outside the main hub of the city but not so far that you can't stroll to Boston Common, etc. (around 20 minutes to walk to South Station). For a bustling city hotel at high season the price wasn't bad either. I would happily stay there again.
Good for vacationer, not so much for a business trip
John Son 07/08/2017 00:54I found the hotel to be very clean and I found the price reasonable. The rooms are not large, but compared to the prices of other hotels closer to downtown, I feel it's a pretty good deal. The staff was friendly and the A/C worked well. I wouldn't suggest this place if you spend a lot of time in the room. There is no table to work at and no storage space or mini fridge. My rating is based on simply needing a place to sleep and shower. Most of my time was spent checking out the city as I was on a vacation rather than business. The connecting bar and lounge did get a bit loud on Friday and Saturday night, but that's to be expected on a weekend. I was very happy with the cleanliness and promptness of the maid staff. The location was convenient and I was able to walk to most destinations (Boston Common, Boylston St, Chinatown, however Fenway was a 25 min walk). It's located a bit on the outskirts of the busier downtown areas, which is nice. Overall a satisfying stay.
