What People are saying

AVOID!

Soulgirl1967 on 19/11/2017 12:35

This place does not look like the photos shown on their website, rooms are tiny, very rundown, urgently needs renovations throughout. Mound everywhere (see photos) Need a good deep clean,Breakfast was adequate. Coffee was nice breakfast was very small. No kettle no tea & coffee facilities in the rooms, will not be going back again. We paid £72.00 was not worth half of that. stairs were broken & dangerous too.

Adequate

Let’s start with positives. The room was clean and staff were nice and it’s in a great area as a base. Room was small stairs were broken. No lamps no kettle or hairdryer. Bathroom was damp pain peeling but clean

What a dump!

Reading the previous bad reviews, they are spot on! This place is a dump!! Our tiny (supposed to be double) room smelt so badly of cigarette smoke and damp, paint was peeling all over and a single limp curtain was hanging off one side of the single dingy window. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will never visit again!!

What An Absolute Dump, Should be closed down!!

On arrival you notice the tatty windows peeling paint and the damaged steps into the building, once inside the first thing you notice is the humming banging vibrating vending machine in the hallway. Met by a foreign lady thats the spitting image of Rosa Klebb, eek, the so called reception room doubles as the breakfast room, looking directly into the so called kitchen, dark dreary wood chip adorn the walls, windows running with condensation. With a few mumbles we were given our key and told our room was downstairs, so off we went half way down the dirty starcase we noticed one of the steps is broken, covered in carpet just an accident waiting to happen, so past the mousetrap and the redundant shower cubicle leaning against the wall, oh and not lets forget the abandoned toilet roll on the hear as well into the dark and dismal room we went, one curtain hanging off at one side, and wait for it the tv cable actually coming in the window, which you must keep open to watch telly, or if you want to lock the window there is no telly for you, pathetic to say the least, one towel each, a cigarette burn hole on the bedsheets, no tea or coffee making facilities, and one single light in room. one bedside cabinet with the most disgusting stains in the drawers, yuk, the bathroom was equally discussing, rusty shower fittings, the shower would not drain away it just continued to fill up, no sink plug, the outlet itself was disgusting, the bathroom cabinet was just as bad as everything else, filthy. if you could watch the tv without the signal falling of well good on you so it was useless, paper thin walls adjoin a public lavatory next door so it was all sound effects when it was being used, yuck again. During the breakfast the staff talk foreign the entire time between themselves, extremely rude, food was equally bad, as cheap as it comes, coffee came in a mug but only half full, it was disgusting. So to summarise this place is not fit for human inhabitance let alone the vermin the clearly live there. totally disgusting, yuk yuk yuk

Rip-off

Stayed one night, was amazed by the poor standard of the place: nothing has been painted since the woodchip (!!) paper had been hung; no mirror in room, so had to ask for an extension lead so my wife could use hair dryer with bathroom mirror. Only lead was filthy, it's neon light flickered and only one outlet worked; one light in the room, so take a torch for when you go to bed; bed sheets & duvet cover torn; curtains didn't cover window & were very dusty; furniture was extremely tatty; had to hold wardrobe door closed with suitcase, as bathroom doorway is obstructed by it; washbasin is tiny; shower tatty; toilet seat very flimsy; had to hold window open with a coat hanger; breakfast room can accommodate only half of the guests, leaving people standing around in the corridor; no toilet roll holder - luckily there was a spare roll on the window cill, as the other had a very suspicious stain on the paper. On the positive side, the sheets & towels were clean, parking is free, the staff that speak English are friendly & helpful and the breakfast is good. Overall, way too expensive for the standard.
