Comfy beds lovely location

Stayed one night, for training. The beds were really comfy, food was okay. The grounds are really lovely and great to explore. Only downside was that the bar shut at 11 and from 10pm they stop taking cash.

Overall though a really nice stay

Only stayed for one night, with my husband, mum and aunt, as visiting family in the area. Rooms were very nice and had everything in you would normally expect, kettle, tea, coffee, shampoo, shower gel etc. The grounds were beautiful, but unfortunately the weather prevented us from looking around them. We ate here and the food was good. The two girls at the bar went out of their way to come to the table to take our food order (not their normal procedure) which we much appreciated, thanks girls. Breakfast was cooked to order, and was wonderful, a must before our long journey home. All staff were most pleasant and helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

Really lovely staff, couldn't do enough for us, especially Claire, amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Room was really nice, stayed there for 2 nights and will go back again. Thank you for such a lovely weekend

We stayed for two nights, 28 & 29 July, visiting our son for his birthday. The stay was really good, from friendly, efficient receptionist, to all the other staff we met, all did their best to make this a comfortable weekend. All areas of the hotel was very clean. Our bedroom was quite spacious and well equipped, with everything one could ask for. The food at breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. We will visit again and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. My only problem was that my satnav wouldn't accept the post code.

Spent 5 nights on a Booking.Com organised accom only deal. £295. We were given a second-floor room up narrow and steep stairs. Wifi & TV reception dreadful. Shower impossibly small. Staff indifferent.
